Can I get two humans (one team Zilla and the other team Kong) standing on the sides shouting commands like ‘Tail Whip’, ‘low kick’, ‘seismic toss’, and ‘flamethrower’.

I love them both, but I'm full on Team Kong for this one just because it feels like he supposed to be the underdog and I have a real soft spot for those kinds of characters.

Also, if that's true about the Aircraft Carrier fight being almost 20 minutes than their should be no shortage of epic monster battles in this movie.

Sure it might be excessive, but its what we've been waiting for and as long as its paced well and we are able to see all the action I honestly don't see a problem with it.

I can't get over how amazing Kong looks. Simply phenomenal.

I'm a little worried he might look "too good" if you know what I mean. Like, Godzilla might get some ideas kind of good. I am looking for a good ole fashion fight, not a romance. Ugh.

Wasn't it reported last year that the film had a runtime of 107 minutes? Seems odd to have an early fight eat up 18 minutes of that short runtime.

Because, by all accounts this film is more action centric and has less of a focus on human drama. Kong himself is something of a protagonist, hence him signing ala Planet of the Apes.

The Fury Road of monster flicks? I am all for it being composed of fight sequence after fight sequence. That is what we are here for after all.

Muto's encounter with the nuke was nothing more than pitch black with some red eyes moving around.

Positive thing about the situation is that because of the reduced marketing and WB forking out 250 mil to Legendary to have this on HBOMAX, film’s effectively paid for already. Most of the Asian and Oceanic markets are open now too, so while this won’t be a huge global event, might turn a decent profit all things considered.
