Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

Thanks weezer for answering all these questions
When Godzilla and Kong are teaming up, are they actually attacking MechaG like a literal tag team? Are they ever standing side by side? Does Godzilla acknowledge Kong saving him?

Yes. They actually tag team. One of the best parts is Kong grabs one side of MG and Godzilla grabs the other and they throw him through a building. Another moment I laughed out loud out of excitement.

Thank you weez.
How does the movie end. As in what is the last scene of the movie? If you remember. I assume it’s Godzilla walking into the ocean and Kong sitting in the throne thing. They even spoiled that in the trailers.

Also, further discussion with my friend who saw it with me has lead me to see we both interpreted something differently. Regarding Godzilla’s initial attack:

We see a metal contraption at the base where Godzilla first attacks which I thought was part of MG because it’s gone when they move to HK, but my friend thought that that was used to call Godzilla as a predator call to get him to attack, so that the general public would support MG when they revealed it to the world. Either way, he’s attacking because of the villains creating MG.

That “predator call” might be the Orca Z device I’ve heard people talking about. Pretty sure it was confirmed that the orca makes a return in some form in the movie, maybe that was it?

Also Kong and Godzilla throwing MG through a building is both awesome and comedy gold. You’ve gotten me psyched for this movie far beyond what I thought was possible.

You might be correct! That makes a lot of sense. I’m not a huge MonsterVerse fan so I had to look and see the Orca is what they used in the last film. Duh lol. That’s probably correct.

Last scene is Rebecca Hall and the Deaf Girl watching Kong at Skull Island and Kong stands on a cliff and looks off into the sun.

Hey I’m new here, I want to ask weezer a question but I want to make sure I cover my question as spoiler, how do I do so?

Ok, what’s Godzilla’s last scene? How destroyed is MechaZilla?

Godzilla goes off into the ocean after they defeat MG. We don’t see him again. Kong cuts MG to pieces with the hammer/axe. He cuts his head off.

movie ever says who built MechaZilla?Oh, and how does the movie start? Like after the WB and Legendary Logos? Thank you for this. On a different note; your thoughts on the 2014 movie? They’re finally rereleasing that one on dvd.

Hey weezerspider, thanks again for answering all these questions, you’ve been a saint!

Here is a question from my friend:

He’s concerned about the knock down Godzilla is given by kong. He’s wondering how long Godzilla is out for as it could make his win seem illegitimate and make kong look dumb:

“ After Godzilla gets knocked down by kong and it hard cuts, when it cuts back to the fight is kong still in the same place he was before the fight or has he wondered off? What I’m basically asking is, is kong still focused on Godzilla before he gets back up and attacks?”[\spoiler]

@NightHun07 You didn’t do it correctly. Just edit your post or delete it. I’ll still answer your question.

I would say that the HK stuff is all about 45 minutes. It feels like a lot. Obviously I don’t know exactly. The coolest thing in the fight between Godzilla and Kong was Godzilla going on all fours. I know on paper that may seem like a bit of a letdown for his “new ability”, but it is awesome.

Thanks, I don’t know why it didn’t work. I’m gonna try and fix it but yeah I deleted both of my posts just in case

I already answered this several pages ago, but it opens with Kong in SI and he throws a tree through the air and it hits an invisible wall, revealing he’s in closed in a dome. I think the set pieces of 2014 are excellent, especially the Hawaii set pieces. However, I think they got too cute with the Jaws less is more thing and the humans are very uninteresting. Oh also, yes the human villains who have Ghidorah’s head build MG

The character says “round 2 goes to Kong”, but I really see it as one big fight at the end. That’s how short Kong’s “victory” is. I say Godzilla is 2-0 in this movie, but it’s Kong’s story and Kong gets to finish off MG.

I find it funny some YouTube guy made a whole video calling me a liar because it’s different than everything he’s been claiming with his “insider info”:funny::funny::funny::funny::funny:

Thank you Weezerspider for answering our questions, you are very patient. So compared to the other MV movies how do you feel about the sound design here? We have heard Kong’s new roar but are there any new sounds for the g man? And Mechagodzilla i imagine sounds familiar to Godzilla. Does he move fast or slow?(for being a mech)

They don’t play up the mech thing too much. He moves pretty swiftly for a robot. Sound design was good. MG sounds a lot like Godzilla, but with like a robotic aspect. That sounds obvious, it’s hard to explain. I don’t recall Godzilla making new sounds.

Interesting. Does Kong’s axe/hammer affect Godzilla in any way? Like does he get cut by it or like a chunk gets taken out of him? And does the film make an effort to explain why Godzilla shot directly at Kong’s axe/hammer with his atomic breath like we saw in the first trailer. Many said that it was attracted to it, or that Godzilla just wanted to destroy it before it made impact, or is this just something that played out on its own?

I don’t think he gets anything chopped out. And that shot just plays out on its own.

So, not necessarily related to GvK but was the screening/viewing just for this movie or were other WB projects shown as well ?

I can’t go in much details on that. I will say it was just GvK. It was not at a chain theater. It was a privately owned location. My friend and I were the only two people in the theater.

My job and connections got me this opportunity. It was not a test screening or a screening for critics
