Godzilla vs Kong (2021)

A bit off-topic, but I just noticed that a bunch of the recent question-askers in this thread have all joined SHH really recently, like over the past several days. Thought that was a bit funny and strange at the same time.

I get why everyone wants to know things about the movie, but come on folks, sit back, relax, and the movie will be here before you know it.

I believe C. Lee pointed out some users from another Godzilla forum jumped over here when the comments from Weezerspider started coming out.

I get it though. Some people just want some reassurance that this movie with the monsters or characters they care about will be good and fun to watch. Life is so challenging right now and entertainment is one of our few escapes from this pandemic misery.

Heyy Weezerspider I'm aware you've probably grown weary of our restless inquires so I've taken the liberty of making my request brief as possible. Will godzilla's son or some variation of godzilla's son be featured in this movie to some extent. (I'm fully aware this is highly unlikely, however I saw a recent toy leak which label minira which is godzilla's son's name so I just wanted to be certain.

nope. Unless it’s just some Easter egg for fans that I didn’t spot.

Right-O. That's exactly what happened. And some of us wont rest until there's an entire plot leak like the one from Godzilla: King of the Monsters, lol. Have a feeling we wont have to wait long for it.

And Mechagodzilla uses a spike on his tail against Godzilla and Kong ?

1.And the bone on which the axe is built is whose bone ?

2.What happens in the scene when at night Kong comes to the place from which the agon begins to go and something like lava ?

3.How roughly can you describe those hollow earth creatures from your memories, if you can remember them ?

4.The hollow earth of Antarctica is also home to creatures ?

I'm sure I asked this a few weeks ago but too lazy to search through the forum so I'll ask again...
Danai Gurira was rumored to be cast in this a few years ago. Any idea of what role she would have had or what happened?

From what I was told, She never fully signed on to do the movie. I guess that's why she was listed as "rumored" for a while on IMDB. Weezer would have to confirm this though.

@weezerspider
Could you describe in detail how Kong and Godzilla part ways at the end? How do they acknowledge one another? And thanks for all your answers!

1.Weezerspider Throughout the movie, Mechagodzilla will only have 2 scuffles, one battle with the Crawlers and the second with Godzilla and Kong in general ???

2.Are there separate Mechagodzilla battles with other Titans or humans ?

3.Will there be other Titans killed at the hands of mechagodzilla on the monarch's screens, or will there be any mention of Mecha's misdeeds? [ yes these questions are quite strange but they are related to the first test impressions and the breakdowns of an insider named Avid Hunter ]

I don’t think he ever has an attack move with his tail.

1.Kong finds the axe in the ground next to his Throne in HE.
2. I don’t understand the question.
3. One species looks like a crab/spider that comes out of the ground.
4. They use a tunnel from Antarctica to travel to HE. No creatures live in Antarctica.

Probably Rebecca Hall’s character.

Yeah. My guess is she would have played a character that is still in the movie.

Kong drops the hammer. Godzilla roars at him and then goes peacefully in the ocean with Kong watching him.

Spoiler

1. MG just fights Godzilla and Kong. The Skullcrawler incident wouldn’t count as a fight at all. It’s just bait for practice.
2. MG doesn’t fight anyone else
3. Nope. MG isn’t fully operational until they get the technology/power source from HE.

@weezerspider Is there a tease for more films after Godzilla vs. Kong in the movie?

Nope.

Hey guys. I mean this in the nicest way possible , a lot of new faces are asking the same questions over and over again. I had said like 6 pages back that I wasn’t going to respond to repeated questions, but I’ve been nice enough to keep doing so. However, PLEASE read the thread or my post history before asking a question. If I don’t answer your question, I’ve probably already answered it(twice).

I’m interested in something Weezer.

How does Kong react to Godzilla going alligator mode? Same for the human cast if they cut back them? I’d imagine everyone would be pretty surprised to see what is normally a pretty slow bipedal monster suddenly turn into a fast quadruped.

Was curious about this as a lot of people are interested in the big details, but I think the smaller details like Godzilla’s/Kong’s facial expressions really sell the characters and make scenes with them more fun/impactful.

I understand if you can’t remember this, as it is a pretty small detail to remember for a single viewing.

Official (?) heights don't sound right. They seemed about the same height in trailers and tv spots and even if there is a difference it should be pretty small. I couldn't find the original source of those posters but in any case it doesn't seem correct to me.

Hey weezer, not a question but I just wanna say this. You are a godsend for all of us wanting the plot leak. You’re patient and give out as much info as possible. Sorry if you are at all frustrated at us.

So the official height of G and K were apparently given today. Goji is the same size as kotm but Kong is actually only 102meters compared to Godzilla’s 120That’s a pretty significant gap

This seems right. I actually am surprised this hasn’t come up yet(a new topic! Haha). Kong is clearly smaller in the battles.

I don’t think the humans have any sort of reactions, but I do remember Kong kind of having a “****, I thought I was winning, but he’s just now cranking it to 11” Vibe.

See my response to NighHunt7.

All Good! Happy to feed the hype hunger.

ALSO, another detail I just thought of during the final battle that I don’t know if I ever spoke of that you guys might find interesting.

Godzilla pulls Kong’s arm out of his socket. The shot of Kong in the trailer of him rolling his shoulder getting ready for a fight is right after he is revived, he fixes his shoulder and strikes that pose as he about to go ape****(pun intended) on MG with his new BFF Godzilla.

@weezerspider então godzilla faz isso antes ou depois de ficar de quatro? e
quando o godzilla está quadrúpede a luta é unilateral ou kong se defende ou ele apenas leva uma surra ??

Damn! Are there a lot of wince-inducing moments like that? And are there visible wounds? Just yes or no on those ones, please.

@weezerspider

Do you think this toy is a good representation of MechaGodzilla?

Obviously, the S.H.MonsterArts will be better, just want to know your opinion.

Also, in regards to it's stance/render on the back of the box, is that how it commonly poses or is it always in motion and agile?

Well I received the news from KNO(Kaiju news outlet) I don’t think they would lie to us and post false info haha. But in the trailers most of the shots we see with G&K is Godzilla isn’t standing up straight, or Kong is jumping. The picture from total film however proves that there is a significant gap when we see Godzilla towering over the monke.Edit-Also we don’t really have any other sort of confirmation about exact height so we must use what we can get.

Yes a few. Their fights are incredible which is the main reason I enjoyed the film so much. Again, if anyone has been keeping up with my answers, it’s pretty clear I found the human stuff to be pretty bad, but I’m pretty high on the movie overall. That’s because the fights and set pieces are so stellar.

A pretty good representation considering what it is. And he is pretty agile for a robot.

Would you say the human stuff is more generic or just outright annoying? Any characters too jokey or whiny?

Quick question. How many minutes of monster fighting were there in the movie if you had to guesstimate an amount? Also, during the monster fights, were the monster fight scenes extended sequences before going to something else? Thank you so much
