Goku Vs. Silver Surfer!

And on the lightspeed argument, the TC mentioned the Anime remember? That's like bringing in the Pre-Crisis incarnation of Goku.

Here's a light speed feat in the anime :

Kaioken Goku vs Freeza on planet Namek. King Kai try's to sense them with Tien, Yamcha and Chaotzu worried for Goku. Goku and Freeza are shown flying in super speed all over while bltizing punches with each other, really fast. King Kai's antennae's sort of explode, he then states they are too fast for him to sense - He literally says this.

Now figure, this guy could sense, track, calculate FTL spacepods. And now he can't sense Goku and Freeza in super speed buzzing all oround a puny planet?


If that's not lightspeed, I don't know what else is.


Though all of it is non-canon to the manga, and in which I wouldn't touch the lightspeed topic with a 20-foot pole.

Either way, if we're talking basic lightspeed, or even TWICE the speed of light, Goku is still a snail.

Btw, Gohan is the strongest after Goku. Gohan is a beast, and Goku isn't that much stronger than Gohan.

Actually, if the Surfer (and I'm going to assume we're using the current Surfer) came along Goku, not only would he probably just shatter Goku where he stands, he'd probably fool around with him first like he did with that other guy in Annihilation who was at the Surfer's former power level, and treated that guy like a little kid with no arms. THEN, if Galactus just asked to see Goku, he'd either 1.) Smite Goku for whatever reason Galactus even thinks it's worth his time to deal with such an insignificant being, or 2.) say that he become his herald, search out new worlds to feed, have Goku refuse, then smite him.

Or better yet, leave it to one of the lesser heralds like Stardust.

Exactly. He was stronger than SSJ3Gotenks who is stated to be way stronger than Goku.
Also, he beat Buu down so one sidedly without using any ki blast, while Goku was actually a little afraid of him and Gotenks actually had some trouble with him.

Pre-Crisis Goku?

The fillers and the entire anime in general overpowers Goku, which are not in the manga.

For example, Kid Buu was shown destroying a galaxy in the past but only in the anime. While Super Buu, in episode no.255, was halfway through collapsing the entire universe by breaching through its dimensions.

So that's why I said the anime is manga what pre-crisis is to post-crisis t:

I haven't learned about General relativity, but I know a little about it. Maybe you've had a course on General rela.?

(which I'm almost certain of that you do), then try making some thougt experiments, where you apply the theory on some (speedy) characters, and see what conclusions you reach. Since people accelerate you would also need some of general theories principles. Ofcource we would have to asume that they move below the speed of light, but near.

Well, I could utilize time dilation and such, especially for speedy characters. I've actually had huge thoughts about how inertia and relative forces would work with them. But then, I've also had the same thoughts about inertia and "quantum" forces with them too.

When I have a little bit more time, I'll scramble out a basic idea of some characters like the Flash or the Silver Surfer, and see what you think. I'm definitely willing to hear what you may think.

I would be intrested in hearing about how quantums theories applies to them, since I can't do it myself (not yet anyway).

Explaining things with only special relativity gives you some paradoxes. Since they accelerate up to those speeds, you would need at least one principle from general relativity.
But post back when you've given it a thought.
