I will admit that I was heavily into that scene from 1993 to aroudn 1998 (which I saw it change from Bauhaus and Sisters of Mercy fans to Marilyn Manson fans) and I can attest to the fact that that is not true.

There are/were quite a few that looked like the "models made up to look goth" pictures posted in this thread...and of course there were quite a few that looked like that "other" picture as well

I also did music for a performance art group that at one time featured MASUIMI MAX...possibly the hottest asian "goth girl" in existance...

Sadly there may not be many pictures of her one could post here...

The whole Goth thing is ridiculous. Honestly, what's the point? Attention?

But the same thing can be said bout other stereotypes.

Chavism for instance whats the point in that.. I mean hang round in a large group smoke do drugs vandlise and things like that and talk like an idiot.

Emo are they male or female? Why they always look as glum as each other.

Goths. Yeah they wear black (but so do emo's) they ain't all drepressed and they tend to be the best mates you can have.

Its rediculous that people think "oh all black must be a goth.. man does he look depressed" I myself tend to wear a lot of black I ain't depressed at all...

Oh and on the point of Goth girls.. Yeah most of them are seen as fat because the average that you see people as "goth" is in their teens and most of the teens are "fat" that turn to gothism.

I know plenty of "goths" that are over the age of 18 and are like those from the model "goth" girls. and to be honest if your on bout sex having sex a "goth" girl is the best you can get.
