I disagree, but this pilot is gonna suck balls so it doesn't matter who's playing Green Arrow. It's going to be a disservice to the character.
He's better off on Sons of Anarchy.

lol, Has anyone even cared enough for the character, more than a passing interest, for them to cause a disservice.
Sticking to the comics, in the case of green arrow, is sure to tank the series in 1 episode, given this take may not be any better.
Sometimes there's a fine line between remaining true to the source material and being a slave to it. A lot of things in comics make no sense and don't work in a live action setting. As long as they keep the core and similar elements I'm all for interpretation.
Frankly, having batman and Iron man being rich billionaires, with no family, in the public eye is enough to warrant them taking a new route with Green Arrow.
This isn't aimed at you rockstar but I find it funny how much message board posters have almost become caricatures. They announce a few changes and right away the response is thats dumb, why change things, without watching anything.

I mean what is the generally accepted method by which she gained her super powers?
I mean, she got those before she put on a costume and joined a super team, right?
Right?![]()
^Thats cool, I like GA but when I went to look for books to read there is very little out there.
Which is sad because there is so much potential that I'm shocked no writer has really done something to him. There is so much story potential and you aren't really constrained like you would be with batman and superman.
His villains are also severly lacking. I could see them doing a new take on count vertigo.
I did enjoy reading year one, thought that was a great book.
With that, I figure they could either a) give her a new non-meta origin, or b) drop an occasional hint until one day she busts out the canary cry, which she had all along and told nobody.ya she was born with them. She is a meta. Which hopefully she retains if this show gets to series. Taking them away is just bringing me flashes of the failed Birds of Prey tv show. Plus they dont need to shove themselves into such a "realistic" corner where they wont be able to use any super powered villans/heroes.
