The Dark Knight Rises Greg Rucka Votes- Catwoman!

No, not everyone. While I myself am a fan of Selina, if there's any character that doesn't need/require a love interest, it's Batman.

There are a myriad of other ways in adding depth to Bruce's character. And let's be honest here, Batman in live-action is batting a very low average in putting out a successful on-screen relationship.

Yep, and probably the only time he got a great on-screen romance on the big screen... it was with Catwoman in Batman Returns.

I'm no fan of the obligatory love interest for the sake of having a love interest. But Catwoman is anything but that. She can be a love interest, yes, but she brings so much more to the table. But even when valuing her solely in terms of the love story she enables, it's one hell of a love story, one of the best in comics. And if there's anything that has a chance of giving Batman 3 a box office haul to rival The Dark Knight, it's a great love story to entice a greater proportion of female fans.

^yep I agree with you ...

I dont understand nor will I ever why so many people like/want Vicky Vale,,,, I found her boring as hell....... and Bruce Wayne pretty much date raped her in 89 getting her tanked on red wine and carrying her up the stairs to his room... I always hated that he slept upside down.... or whatever he was *suppose* to be doing

1. **** Greg Rucka and his opinion.

2. ............. I agree. Catwoman for the third:oldrazz::csad:

If Nolan does plan on introducing a love angle into Batman 3, make it last. I don't really want Batman 3 to build up a relationship with Batman & Catwoman only to have her go bad or get killed. I think it's about time a love story in a Batman film had no definite end in sight.

To me the obvious answer would be to NOT have a love interest, focus on Batman without any hinderances for once.

If you mean Catwoman going "bad" by simply killing.. i wouldn't mind and maybe Bruce would realize she's no different then he was when Joe Chill was on trial and let it slide (bad choice of words on my part) But I mean if he did develop a relationship with her, Id hope he wouldn't toss it away from her murdering someone (obviously not a innocent person)... I mean he himself "killed" Harvey who was a friend of his.. sure he didnt intend to but it would be pretty rude if she was in the film and something happened where he sent her off to prison...

but yeah I agree with General Vacuum... the end of Batman Returns always annoyed me cause the 2 logs of poop for sequels that followed ignored she existed....

Who says Catwoman has to be a "love interest" in the traditional sense? Maybe he's just starting to love what he does, and she's an extension of that.

Rachel wasn't a traditional "love interest", but she was one nontheless.

I never said she had to be,, I said IF there was a relationship developed, I presume she would be though...

I don't think Batman really does LOVE doing it, he more so wishes he doesn't have to... even so though Im sure out of obsessive compulsivness he still would... uhm if he were real I mean haha

do you think maybe when Bruce goes out on dates in his public persona he sleeps with those girl like the 2 from Begins, and the Ballet Dancer? maybe he doesn't need a love interest.. he just gets alfred to drive them home after.... :word:

Hey, whatever it takes to keep the show from being a complete sausagefest :hehe: .
