Hearing the dog's whimper and seeing his lifeless body in John's hands is enough.
If you're buying criterion films the I recommend Eyes Without a Face and House.
Arrow releases a lot of great horror blurays.

Movies for me are like books. I just like having that physical copy. Also helps avoid issues like hard drive corruption, not being available due to poor internet connection, etc.
I also have a collector's mentality badly. If I end up buying 1 film in a series, I will tell myself I don't need the crappy sequels, and then I will break. I at least have myself trained to only buy the crappy sequels once they hit blu ray, LOL! Horror franchises are the worst as different distributors have the rights to different movies and often they only get released by companies like Shout who charge more (which is fair given they put more effort into their releases and it is bound to sell less copies than a major movie).
Blackout curtains are the devil. I went to bed at 11am, as is normal for my night shift misery, and I didn't wake up until 10pm. That's 11 hours! I have no concept of time! But I need them though, they block out the hated sun.
There's 15 minutes left in the month....so might as well go ahead and post this now....

if it's a book i really enjoy, i will buy a hardback copy of it as i re-read books i really enjoy
i had a bad collector's mentality for a while, buying most cuz it's a good deal saying i'd always watch it later and most i still haven't seen lol
i think your watch is broken C.Lee![]()
spent $30 on a scratch off... won $200.
got greedy.
spent $90 on 3 more of the same ticket... lost all 3.
Said screw it.... played one more....
I have $80 now. Curse me and my greedy nature.
So, I'm dumb as a bum, but what makes the Criterion Collection version of a movie different than the copy I already have? Older movies without BluRay releases I get, but Armageddon is on there. I already have that cinematic classic on BluRay. Is it just a collector's thing?

Theres still enough time to see Bunuel's classic Un Chien Andalou. It's only 15 minutes long.

Largely, Criterion takes great care in the transfer of the movie (aka making sure it has optimal picture and sound quality) and offers very good booklets about the history of the movie and they still bother with making sure it has REAL special features.
Forgot about the booklets. Yeah, those are great too. My favorite Criterion release is "The Passion of Joan of Arc". Best silent restoration I've ever seen.
I have several Criterion DVDs and Blu Rays, but my favorite overall release of the ones I own is probably Gojira. The movie never looked better, and it stands still to this day as probably my all-time favorite Kaiju film![]()
