I told everyone we should have just kept Kyrie, but few Cavs fans wanted to hear that when his trade desire became so public

They just cannot play defense. Everytime I look at their scores, I feel like they constantly allow 110pts or more! That's not even trying.

I don't think we have enough active posters anymore to support games like Survivor. Or at least not active enough to commit that much time (I don't think I'd have that much time anymore). I think in order to get to that point we'd have to start small with games (not Survivor) that take less effort to play to recreate that mindset and build up to it. I'd love to see it happen as I think Survivor really brought the Community and various other areas of the Hype together... built friendships. In my view, those were the Hype's glory days for that reason.

I was actually thinking about this recently and thought I'd give it a shot. I started a thread in the Books and Music sub-forum recently regarding an elimination style game that's music-based. Easy to play. Competitive. Wouldn't take much time. Etc. I figured that could be a good way to get things going. No replies

not many teams try to play defense for real anymore.

when i found out who was in the dunk contest last night, somehow i ended up down a blackhole of videos and stumbled upon a shawn kemp highlight video that was all stuff he did in game. man, does anyone play or come down the court with that much force anymore? ReignMan and the Glove were my favorite players when i was in elementary school. i had this hideous supersonics hat i wore everywhere in 4th and 5th grade lol

i've been toying with bringing back 15 minutes recently, but roulette style, so everyone has a fair chance of getting picked soon without having to wait forever because they signed up so late.

i thought the fan art contest might bring a little bit of community back. i wish more people frequented the section, even if just to check out what people are sharing. lots of talented artists over there. Hype member Mee is actually getting paid for comic work he does now. he's come so far. and we've had pro artists here off and on over the years. there are so many talented people i see around the site that i don't even know if they're aware we have a whole subforum for art. when i joined here, i think i was busiest there.

I used to be huge into art... well, pencil drawing. I was even considering going to college for commercial design before suddenly becoming seriously burnt out late in my senior year of high school. I've been hankering to get back into it lately but it's a little frightening. After 18 years, it's depressing knowing how much skill I've lost. I tried something a while ago and couldn't do it like how I used to. But who knows... maybe I'll give your art challenge a shot. What's it hurt?

Jared Leto is pretty useless in Blade Runner 2049, his role there is a bigger waste than it is in Suicide Squad.

I put that game up in the Books and Music subforum because it's entirely music based and I figured that's where it should go, but do you think it'd make more sense to put it in the Community since it's more of a community building type of thing? Most of the old games unless they were strictly comic book based were always in Community. It'd certainly get more views.

usually games of that nature tend to go in their respective forums, but i could move it to community for a few days to see if it gets more traction

i made the category a free for all so anyone can submit anything they want to draw in more interest to start these back up.
i also posted the first of hopefully quite a few prizes. as more people enter, i like to add more prizes.

Tyrell got killed by his own creation because the security in his pyramid was too dumb to catch Roy Batty. At least Wallace made it through to the end. He was so powerful that he wasn't even close to being an objective for anyone.
