He would make a great Bat villain. I love Pearce. I haven't seen a whole lot of his films but Memento and The Count of Monte Cristo is enough to make you love the guy. Plays a great conflicted character and a great badguy. Hell yes. I would love to see Nolan cast him in Bat3.

Guy Pearce would be great as any character in the sequel...make him be Robin, I'd still see it...put a wig on him and call him Catman...he'd destroy the part!
Riddler...another obvious choice...replacing Heath as Joker...out of respect for heath i'm not sure any actor would consider it...unless of course your a struggling hollywood no-name that has an awesome impression on youtube...

He could work as the Riddler, that'd be the only way for me to take the Riddler seriously. If they choose Jonny Deep, I just couldn't take him seriously, he'd probaly make him all crazy like Jim Carry did.

Man, this anticipation is getting to me.

I wish Nolan would at least make a statement. He doesn't have to confirm if he will return with a yes or no, I just wish he would at least say where his mind is at with Batman at this point.

Is he burnt out and done or does he think he 'might' return at some point down the road.

I can't remember who won that year, but he should've at least been nominated. Hell, that picture should've been nominated across the board -- it's one of the few perfect movies I've ever seen.

I enjoy performances from both of these actor's, but yeah. The preference would definately go to Pearce in the role of the Riddler.

he already looks like the Riddler there. sign this Guy already. i'm not gonna worry about his resistance to superhero roles. Bale was the same before Batman. its just that they havent gotten their head around the concept like we do. but once they "get it", they'll like it and be proud of it, just like what happened to Bale.

Yeah Memento even got snubbed best picture and best director. I have pretty much given up on the oscars. Everyone who deserves it most gets snubbed, Fight Club didn't win anything. If Heath doesn't get an oscar for Joker, then I don't who will win for best supporting actor. I wouldn't want to be the one going up against a dead actor.
