I want Hunham for Aquaman or Iron Fist.... but could he good a Good Choice for Lobo?

Just watch him in SOA and you'll see what I'm getting at.

I personally find Guy Ritchie an incredibley crappy director. So my expectations are low.

That would be interesting

.....though he's actually my first choice to play Conan, Durand could be an awesome Lobo indeed.

Also, Guy Ritchie, with his known dark humor, might just be perfect for something like Lobo.

Does anybody else see a little Rob Zombie in Lobo? I don't know, he just reminds me of him a little bit :D Not saying he should be him, just something about him makes me think Rob Zombie lol.

Durand could be a pretty cool Lobo. And I'd prefer Hunham as Iron Fist too.

You know, I actually really like that choice.

Just take a look at his album cover.

If that doesn't say Lobo...

I've mentioned before that I don't think Vinnie can get rid of his Cockney accent.

Now, I DO THINK LOBO should have a New York/Chicago accent like in Superman: The Animated Series.

Something like this?

^Love that episode. Lobo is just one example of everything they got right with that show.

i like guy richie....cant wait for this flick....but wtf is with the teenaged girl sidekick? is that from the comics? cause i dont remember it

It's really strange that DC is pushing ahead with so many of their lesser known properties (Jonah Hex, Lobo, The Losers) while many of their more well-known superhero characters have struggled to get off the ground until only recently (GL, The Flash). Some will likely never see the light of day (Wonder Woman, Shazam/Captain Marvel).

There's no giant fanbase/merchandise blitz behind the lesser ones.

Great news!

I'm still hoping for an R rating, but I doubt it will happen.

Guy Ritchie is an intriguing, yet solid choice to direct a LOBO film IMO but lets hope they keep working on that damn script and story.

bear in mind that having a director attached to a film doesnt guarentee the movie will be made. almost every comicbook movie that has been in the making for the last 5 years but hasnt gotten the green light has had a director on it, if not multiple directors. Guy richie has signed on to direct lobo, but that doesnt mean he will ever get the chance to. i hope he does, but who knows.

This movie is going to be full of fail with a PG-13 rating.

Lobo should be R rated

Agreed.....about the R rating.

I'm not gonna say it will fail quite yet though if it does wind up being PG-13.

Listen, the MPAA allows TONS of violence in hard PG13, and they let it get REALLY far if blood isn't red. Easy to do when most of the movie is aliens ;)

Language Frag and Bastich aren't actual curses. No problems with PG13

And you can have lots of sexual suggestion, too.

Wow, that REALLY does remind me of Lobo. Very awesome

I don't think people need to be automatically saying PG-13=Fail. It can work, and I think it most likely will. As the person above me said alien blood, as long as it isn't red, isn't that big of a deal. And the alien language cursing won't be a big deal either. I think it'll turn out pretty good with a PG-13 rating.

:woot:

Lobo is just like Riddick as far as type of hero goes, and Riddick had a teenage girl sidekick as well.

The Marvel Age of movies started with lesser knowns as well... Blade got the ball rolling for Marvel.

I like that Warners/DC is starting with the lesser knowns. If they released Hex with GL, people would have no idea that they were both part of the same comic universe.
