Woobie: A term of endearment (like "baby); someone who is so cute/sad/adorable you want to hug and comfort them.

She should die...

After being in college a little while, Gobby should throw her off of the bridge and prevent Spidey from going after her. And we get some reaction shots from Spidey and Gobby, with Gobby having some sick smile on his face and Spider-Man's eyes wide open in shock. There, death without showing or saying it...all without portals.

apparantly Greg has mentioned
there are no plans to kill Gwen yet
, but this could be another of his red herings...

yea true there vegeta if they dont get a 3rd season order then gwenie will be alive, but if we get more seasons they might want to do it later on once they have pete and gwen hook up for a bit.

I was @ the nycc marvel animation panel yesterday (superhero squad looks hilarious) and the guy in charge of marvel animation said it doesn't look like they're gonna kill her off. Even desPite characters getting killed all the time in clone wars (his words) it seems they like Gwen too much and besides, she died in her college years anyway.

So if any Stacey dies on this show's run, my money's on her pops.

If you choose to use Gwen Stacy, you're choosing to enter that dark chapter in Spider-Man's life. Maybe the show could end before she dies, but I think it would be a great topic to delve into. Just because it's a "kid's show" doesn't mean they cannot handle the heavy topic. It's a part of coming of age, learning about death. I think it could be handled beautifully.

yea i would love to see what greg can bring to the table with killing gwen.

Well if they want to keep the comics fans happy and not change such a classic moments of the comics it has to be norman. Though since gwen/peter/harry have a better relationship it could be harry that does the dirty deed.

yea i am open for harry to do it though i would love for it to be norman it just has to be him.

If you're speaking on the 90's animated series, then no she wasn't. Though even though she wasn't, that didn't stop the writers from using her death scene in the comics, only with Mary Jane as a replacement. What made that idea worse in the end is the fact that the "death" scene, involving Mary Jane is heavily censored to the point that you can't even say she "died" even though that was the obvious intention.

Gwen Stacy was in I think, the last episode of the '90s animated series via an alternate dimension. The producers deliberately left her out because they weren't comfortable with the idea of having a long since dead character in the comics brought back to life for the show. So because of this, Felicia Hardy (AKA Black Cat) became the main blonde girl (to counterbalance Mary Jane) on the show.

Tough call-I voted maybe. It's been made abundantly clear that none of these shows are married to the comics.

I just want to see Daddy bite the bullet first. That would be a dramatic episode. Ock kills daddy and Norman kills Gwen. RIP

imagine the 9 year old watching this show on saturday morning, traumatized by the death of a cartoon character, and the failure of his favourite superhero. no one is dying on this show.

yea but Sloth Mufasa is a Muther****ing Lion and Gwens a chick big diff there lolz

Most 9-year-olds who watch this show have already seen both GOblins impaled & Venom incinerated. That said, I do think it's unlikely they'll kill her off.

She apeared in that last episode of multiverse spidermans, she was married to the rich spiderman in armor with a ROBOT !

Don't remind me. That finale was ridiculous; a toy commercial.
I can't think of one character who has died in a superhero cartoon. The only people who are dead died a long time ago, e.g. Uncle Ben, the Waynes, the Graysons. We see them in flashback only. The kids didn't get to know them, get attached to them & then see them die.
