'H2', Rob Zombie's sequel to 'Halloween'

I don't know where this going back to the old continuity crap is coming from, but it's not true, when the Weinstiens announced Halloween 3-D they said it'd continue from Rob's storyline, just because the director of H20 doesn't mean it's going to be old continuity.

But how in the world can they go from Part 2 without being silly or insulting to people.

Again, that doesn't mean it is a good decision. I never said I didn't understand the white horse, it was just a ridiculous inclusion into the film. When Micheal Myers kills somebody, it loses its edge when his mom, his child self, and a horse are peeking over his shoulder. People were literally laughing in the theater. It went from "Oh Wow", when he was plowing through bodies to "Ha Ha" when team white reared their ugly head.

As for stuff being spelled out for viewers, I don't expect much plot in Slasher Flicks (among other things), but I expect some semblance of continuity.

Michael had gotten killed in every film and always comes back...really? Think people feel too insulted when another film is made, even though the previous film had Michael get killed? Over and Over?

The way Michael is killed in H2 is pretty abundantly clear he's dead dead, not "dead."

Hellooooo Halloween 2, 4, H20. They all ended with a really dead dead Michael Myers and we all know how they got around that.

Halloween 2: Oh he just got burned really bad, didn't lose his eyesight, he just fell into a coma. Insulting.
Halloween 4: Oh he fell down a mine shaft after getting riddled with bullets and a bomb thrown down but oh he just crawled away into the river. Insulting.
Halloween H20: He crushed some other guy's laraynx and changed clothes with him. SUPER insulting.

I'm sorry, was his body chopped up into little bity pieces, set one fire, and then the ashed scattered across the ocean? A mutilated stabbed body just means, Michael was stabbed a lot, in the face too, but he's an UNSTOPPIBLE FORCE OF NATURE...what part of that don't you understand?

No matter what, an insult is coming all our ways with the sequal, no matter what direction or continuity it takes place in.
 
They're going to have Tommy Jarvis head over to the cemetery to dig up the body and make sure Myers is indeed dead. Dustin Diamond will make a guest appearance to to help him.

HELL YEAH!

And as far as the Michael's face hacked off....that never really happened in the film. It appears that way, but if you stay for the credits and watch the crime-scene photo clip parts, there's a photo of Michael with his mask off and his face doesn't look so bad or harmed...just bearded up and with long hair.

Yeah, but in those movies he was more a powered up person. Plus all slashers in the 80's were the same when getting killed and coming back.

This series was more loosely based in semi reality.

There's no way of bringing him back the way the past movies were able to do.

Halloween 2 didn't show us remains, H5 showed how he survived H4, Resurrection's only good scene explained the H20 death escape.
He wasn't dead dead in any of the earlier movies. H2 remake was the first to kill him dead dead.

And with that said right there, there is far more room to work with for bringing him back. Remember. Michael was shot point blank in the freaking head and came back. He was shot several times before that too. He even got stabbed in the back and it didn't effect him at all. Really? We're going to hold the ending of H2 against the possibilty of him returning? Come on man.

The ending of H20, MICHAEL WAS DEAD DEAD DEAD..WITH NO HEAD. But they figured a way to fix that and have Michael return...and it was insulting to the viewer...so they can do that same logical thing again for H3. If there's a will (and there always is) there's a way.

Well, that was your audience as far as the giggling, I didn't hear squat at my showing when they were on screen. Personally, I get what Zombie was going for (the spiritual purity/ Family psycho-metaphysical thing). But I'll admit I'm not a fan of how heavy handed he was with it, but given most modern horror fans are not good with subtle details, I can't fault the guy for it.
 
Let's face it. This series is dead. They have no more places to go. No matter where you go you're going to end up someplace BAD :funny: . On one end you have the series that ended with Busta Rhymes kicking Michael's ass and on the other end you have Hickoween where Michael is an angry bum walking through the fields like a homeless Frodo. EITHER WAY you have sh** characters, sh** dialogue, a sh** story and more misery coming to you...in 3D no less. Really the only way to get this franchise any lower right now is to give Uwe Boll the reins and complete creative control.
