God I hated that movie. I hope Rob quits making movies ASAP. Just go back to making music please
My feelings towards Ho1000C is almost the same as Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: it's visually interesting and sharply directed, but it's suffocating unpleasantness and mean spirit prevented me from finding any enjoyment in watching it and I can't imagine ever revisiting it.
Annie had plenty scarring on her face, and the only places where she would have the worst scarring are covered up by her clothes, and when the areas where the scars would be prominent, it really didn't make any difference considering how much Michael did to her.![]()
As for Michael not being bullet proof, not that I disagree, but the bullets were pretty much nothing to him, like in all the other Halloween films.
And the head shot wound is an even bigger dead horse than some other complaints. It was never shown where in the head he was shot, all we really have to go on was that it was on the right side of Michael's face, since that was wear the mask was damaged.
Not saying the face scars make up for her being a stabbing cushion in the first movie, but where she got the brunt of the injuries were on her body, and some on her face. But seeing as her body was covered up pretty much the entire movie, you didn't see how bad the scars would have been.
Well, even when the first movie came out, I'm pretty sure it was said they didn't kill Annie onscreen so they had the option of bringing her back in a sequel; Plus what she was put through, with hospitalization and therapy, it's not that improbable for her to survive.I concede that point and editted my post to reflect that my problem wasn't so much the lack of physical injury but the notion that the character was clearly dead yet entirely fine in this movie without so much as a scene of EMTs rushing her to the hospital.
I took the opening scenes as the true after effects of the first movie, when Laurie was passed out and being operated on, and just saw the rest more as a dream while she was under the anesthesia from the operation. The hospital scene being a dream did bother me a bit, but I thought it fit with the rest of the movie (dreams and visions and Laurie's torment being big parts). Outside of that, I just liked the visuals of the scene, seeing some of the horrible damage that was done from the encounter with Myers. I thought the entire opening was pretty intense.
I really didn't have a problem with Myers surviving the gunshot to the head. We never really saw where it hit, people have survived similar wounds (although not regularly), and any damage to the head can result in massive amounts of blood. I realize it is a stretch, but it really didn't bother me much.

I don't mind him surviving if they showed that Laurie only grazed him, he was arrested and escaped (or just escaped). But come on, the wound was severe enough that he was pronounced dead. That's not something any one can walk from
Did we ever see Annie clearly dead in the first movie (or at least appear to be clearly dead)? I thought that was left pretty open ended and I remember coming away from watching that film thinking Annie survived (although obviously beat to ****). We see her alive when Laurie finds her and I thought she was later seen on a stretcher. Not positive, though.
The thing that's really dumb is in RZH when Laurie shoots Michael the wound is severe enough where she's splattered with blood and screaming her head off so you know the bullet didn't just graze him. Secondly, the mask has a huge freakin hole in it where Myers got shot but there's no damage whatsoever to his head.
anybody think that the last shot of laurie was a bit of a Psycho homage?
A few scars on the face in exchange for a total gutting? At any rate, my point is, Loomis and Annie's deaths were clearly shown in the original and Zombie just backtracked with not even a quick crappy scene of EMTs finding them.
