The Dark Knight Harry Potter Costume Designer To Work On Tdk

anyone ever consider that her work may be for Bruce Wayne's clothes, and not Batman, or maybe even The JOker, or if included Penguin or Black Mask. Why would they use the finest fabrics on batman?

Just a thought to consider, just cause they say the man in black, doesnt automatically mean its a bat

What else would they be using stretchy fabrics for? Hopefully not Joker or Penquin or Bruce.

However, the new fabic designed by Fox, has all of the properties of the original body armour so don't worry, Batman will be fine.

And when you run an electric current through it it becomes teh puffy! :wow:

Nice news but some here are drawing waaay too much conclusions out of this.First of all he is not the costume designer on TDK Lindy Hemming is. Page is the costumer, big difference. And secondly i doubt they're going to change the color of the costume. New materials almost certainly means that Batman will be more flexible this time around, i guess.

Finally, the voice of reason.

Listen to the man folks!

No please no grey.It can remain black and at the same time be streamlined and mold to the body very well. Besides iam sure that nolan would never use a grey suit, it goes against everythign he has done and in life action wouldn't look good. I think they're gonna end up with a spandex like fabric that will stick to the body and take bales' shape. And the armor parts could be hard black leather and slightly thinner than the armor patches in BB so the suit ends up looking more stylish and slimmer.

They should also make the legs thighs area look slimer, so the suit sticks more to bale's body.

This great news, now with this news bale has more reason to get in the greatest shape of his life. as bulked as in BB and more ripped.

Wouldn't look good in live action? Watch Spider-man, that's a skin tight suit and it looks great in action. You sugest putting hard leather patches on his suit, which would severley restrict mobility, but using a slimmer, more mobile suit would look worse in action? I'm sorry, but I just don't see it.

i want them to stick with the black rubber suit... i love it way more.

It looked good when he isn't moving but there is a noticable lack of mobility.

Batman should move like a panther...he should move like Bruce Lee!

Hey... I was around for the original "puffy" way back when!

Me too. Ah, the good ol' days.

The good old days were long before that, the days of Snipe BIF Freddie...

I think (and hope) that they just keep the same suit from BB. It looked great in my opinion.

I remember the good ole days of teh puffy, bale damnit, and that white fat tire guy.

Not true. Give me some time to find it.
raybia to the rescue!
And after reading this thread in its entirety I see you had already stated that fact. Leave it to me to be redundant ;)

""...he is busy sourcing stretch fabrics for the outfit worn by the man in black." Hmm, interesting. Remember a while back, a sourced informed BOF that the costume would be tweaked a bit to be lighter and more streamlined? I wonder if they'll be using some sort of fabric/rubbrer "armor" combination this time around? No doubt, the suit will be approved upon for TDK (But PLEASE, no spandex/DEAD END-looking Bat-suit!). It does seem that the rubbery “body armor” can be done away with as lightweight, cloth-like armor exists. Check this out: "Liquid Body Armor" and Fabric Armor." Thanks to "Mike J. in MN" for the link to the latter article."

Has Jett gone completely ******ed:o He actually thinks he's in Paris looking for fabrics for the bat suit?

Not redundant at all! Just adds credibility to it! I'll find it!

Fabric is like coffee mate, there are different types in different countries.

please be grey frabric. please be grey frabric. please be grey frabric.

Black rubber sucks! It really really sucks!

What works in a comic book does not necessarily work in a movie. We've seen fabric already on Adam West (although I know they'd try to do a better job on TDK than that).

Well, that time era isnt exactly known for its muscular men ;)
I'd wager Bale would look much better than West in the same suit.

WAIT A MINUTE!

What if BB is actually a prequel to the Batman 60s T.V. series? :wow: :csad:

That would suck.

it be cool t see what he does with joker, the guy can do some nice looking suits and traditional clothing, mabey joker will be a bit more 18th century england then 2006 armani.

Yea I could tell that Batman wasn't very flexible when he was jogging thru the crane's mad house and then blew open the door were the crazies where. I really would live to see the Batman become a real acrobat in the air and a real force to reckon with in combat. Hopefully we have some nice combat scenes!:ninja:

^Batman doing acroBATic moves? Not in Nolans franchise.
