"Don't be hatin'!"

If Patrick Dempsey looks like a girl, then there are about 20 million more lesbians in this world than you think.

Sweet.

Looks wise, Patrick Dempsey > DV8.

That ain't right . . . you don't even know what I look like  Do you?:O

anyway, this whole "Patrick Dempsey is a hearthrob" routine is further supporting the fact that he should NOT be Face . . . . . or casted by a woman :D

The whole point of Two Face being Two Face was that before he was disfigured, he was damn fine-lookin' - which partially explains his descent into madness upon having half of his face turned into lasagna.

Harvey Dent, pre-acid, is a confident, good-looking, man's man. Rufus Sewell could do that, Liev Schriber (spelling?) could do that, Patrick Dempsey could do that. Cole Hauser is too bland to be that.

Patrick Dempsey is a pretty mudderfugger, but that don't make him 2Face

If we really want to have a pretty dude, with some attitude . . . let's go with this ol' Ronny Shade suggestion:

Tim Daly

He's pretty . . . he kinda looks like Bale, and he's proved himself in the role of flawed characters based on inner personal struggles and duality . . .

enough with the Dempsey nonsense please.....ugh.

my top five for Dent/Two-Face....

1. Guy Pearce- he would be perfect for the role and he is a solid actor and has the right look and has worked with Nolan before. Has solid range and quite honestly would need a role like this at this point in his career...if Nolan offered it to him...he would be dumb not to take it.

2. Jake Gyllenhaal- some say he is to young...but his acting would take away those fears. He has proven his range and he was Nolan and Goyers second choice for Batman/Bruce. That says something. Watch Donnie Darko and then you would think that was a semi yet younger version of a Dent portrayel. He has the skills to pull it off....no doubt.

3. Joaquin Phoenix- we all know he has range and he brings the intensity as well. He can play light and dark characters with no problem. He would be a solid choice as Dent. Has the facial looks to play Dent and facial features for the transformation to tragic Two Face.

4. Liev Schrieber- more of a semi known actor who has done well in the roles he has done. Has been a solid supporting actor most his career and would probably due really well as Dent, because of his more unkown status as an actor. Has the facial features to play a light character and then would probably own as Two Face when he goes bad....his voice, eyes and eyebrows..would due Two Face justice onscreen.

I'm being joking with all the Patrick Dempsey worship, but I honestly believe he'd be a good candidate for Two Face. Looks, rage, insanity - he's had film experience with all three. He's not too well-known or popular, so he doesn't come with an overabundance of star baggage.

You said it! We're talking about friggin BATMAN!! Not a guest starring role in Party of Five . . . .

The problem is this:

like I said earlier, John Cusack's strength is his uncomfortableness and timidity (I don't think that's really a word) Both sides of Harvey Dent are intense and extreme. One's a crusader, the other's a murderer. Nowhere does uncomfortable or timid fit into the equation.

i agree with you that cusack hasn't shown the murderer side yet, but please to god tell me where schrieber has? aye? because he hasn't

Cusack is not timid in Grosse Point Blank, he is genious, the scenes with him and the pyschiatist are incredibley forward, comedic brilliance, and far from timid, as with his role in that whole movie as an assasin i think is a very non timid role, Con Air he is good in, but it's tough to really look stupid in Jerry Brukhiemer movie (he has basically made nic cages career)

but again, i agree...this doesn't mean he can play Dent, but nether does Cotton from Scream (and not Cotton from Pyscho because that isn't Schrieber) nor does Robert Thorn in Omen, or any of his other movies

to the *** who said i have only seen him (Schrieber) in mainstream roles, i say you are correct, but if he has been **** in all of his mainstream roles, and the only roles anyone has given good reasons for are his made for tv movies, guess what...batman is a mainstream role, i don't know, maybe he cant handle the pressure or something, and he maybe good in those tv roles yes, but he is a very subpar actor in everything that comes to the screen

Cusack is timid in Grosse Point Blank. That's where the comedy comes from. He's a timid and uncomfortable assassin. They don't mix.

no he is not timid or uncomfortable as an assasin, he is uncofortable going back to his home, and has a tough time telling everone where he has been, he is cool with being an assasin

the dictionary meaning of timid, is 1. lacking self-confidence or shy, 2. fearful and hesitent

cusack is nither of these in that movie, or most of his movies, uncofortable yes, but he seems to not back down when that thug is always trying to kill him in the movie

Not bad choices, but I would have switched Jake Gyllenhaal and Liev Schreiber. I would have put Pearce as my number 2 choice for the role. Gyllenhaal would be my number 4 choice and Schreiber would be my number 1 choice.

Tall enough, angry enough.

Speaks too quickly, voice too whiny, face not pretty enough.

If the rumors are true then thats not gonna matter by #3

I think that when thinking Harvey, we have to think of someone who would be just as good at playing Batman himself . . . some of the folks that were mentioned for the part in the past were:

Matthew McConaoughladhy
Billy Crudup

I don't think anyone else is really worth mentioning, now that I think about it

You people don't realize how awesome Vince Vaughn would be as Dent. He would totally own Liev Schrieber.

Vince is a very good actor, have you guys seen him in the Psycho remake? wow!

its sad that his latest career choices are mostly mediocre films :(. he may be having a good time with them, but what a waste of talent.

Joaquin Phoenix is the best canidate since he looks like him and picture the other half of his face all messed up plus he owns all the other actors of the poll

The Pyscho remake sucked (or form what I heard). Seriously, WTF were they thinking? You can't remake Pyscho.

If he got Dent, I wouldn't mind, I love Vince, but there are so many better picks for the part.

Crudup would've made a great Wolverine. I now want him for Clayface...unless he gets Iron Man.
