Definitely. Why else would Harvey go to that particular bar and accost that guy?

Also, he seems very indifferent to the fact that Gotham is facing a major crisis at the hands of Joker. The bartender shows more concern lol.

I was on another message board and people were speculating how they were going to film Dent/Two-Face. Some people said they were doing it like Gollum but that sounded unoriginal to me, and then I heard the rumor that Nolan was splicing two different takes together so I got the vision of Dent talking for example and then his eye on his left side rolling like as if he couldn't believe what was coming out of his own mouth.

Hes most definately a cop, "Shouldnt you be out there? doing something?"
Along with the set report a few months back, confirm this

I noticed that too. I dont think his hand will be burnt, even though that would be tight
 
Can someone PLEASE tell me if they have this same opinion?

After the guy leaves for the bathroom there is a part where he see's Harvey and Harvey kills him. Right after that we cut to that guy who said something about wiping. I am only saying this because it seems like right when he went to the bathroom there is something missing between those shots
 
I just hate the 'Hello!" delivery. He sounds like the Joker there. I was worried most about Eckhart's two-face; I know he can play the charming Dent, but I just don't know if he can pull two-face off. And I can't believe they're using CGI for his face; very dissapointing.

Movie looks awesome though. Love the way the scene is shot. Just not the delivery and cgi face.
 
here's my unnecessary breakdown:
+
1) yay! national guard reminds me of how much trouble Joker is going to cause
2) cinematography/lighting is great! Feels like something out of a drama where men dressed as Bats wouldn't appear; adds another layer of respectability to the film. I love the quality here.
3)They didn't show Two-Face's 2 faces. Good, we don't need that spoiled yet.
4)Dirty Cops who don't care about Gotham; "Eh, this is my day off" - good stuff
5) Dent seeking revenge here?
6) The bartender's waltzing back and forth made him look like he actually had to go to the bathroom - attention to detail is nice to see.

1)I think the cop should have looked a little more freaked out when a guy with half of his face appears out of nowhere, even if he does recognize him
2)Isn't this cop the same guy that said "the whole place is gonna blow!" about 500 times in Begins?

I'm waiting for more 2 face line delivery before I begin to criticize it here.

Most definitely this scene is condensced. It is cut short.
 
Well we had a side containing the dialogue between the cop and the bartender immediately before Two-Face's entrance, in the side the cop is "Detective Wuertz". We also had a set report from way back when about Two-Face killing a crooked cop in a bar, so I'm betting he's about to toss his coin. The coin spinning on the table in the comcast clip is probably from a few moments after he says "half".

We have heard 2 words from two-face and have seen a over the shoulder shot revealing almost nothing.
I will withhold my judgement until I see just a little bit more. :o
 
Anyone else worried how the coin toss is going to be pulled off uniquely after "No Country For Old Men" used it so effectively in a similar manner?
 
Awesome clip. Absolutely love the score in that scene. The cinematography was amazing as well.

It's not like nobody else has ever flipped coins in movies before No Country for Old Men. It'll be fine. I remember the first time I saw the trailer for that movie, the first thing I thought of was Two-Face.

LOL look i might have gone over board but in all seriousness. This clip felt like Godfather, it felt like a legit film of oscar caliber that a motivated and serious team of filmmakers put together.

Look at the lighting and set design, first class. The acting, excellent and real and not tongue in cheek like most comic movies. When harvey steps into frame and the guy is cocky saying his line then we track over to the left to change axis and the guy's face turns to pure shock/fear and the subtly yet intenseness of two face's delivery and movement.

I'm a filmmaker so i pick up on all the nuanced subtleties others might not care about and im glad a Batman movie coming out from a director who dares to make an actual film that can be taken seriously and not insult anyone's intelligence.

I just love assumptions.

That could very well be Harvey answering in his "Dent" voice, instead of Two-Face speaking in his "Two-Face" voice (the cop asks and only know Harvey, not Two-Face) So his "other" voice might still be unknown to us viewers. He's insane and has a split personality, what would be so "unrealistic" about him having a different voice for his other personality, Two-Face?
