The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two Face Thread

The other rumor was what I wrote in my previous post, the ShadowBoxing report.

2Face goes to Gordon's house and tries to kill his family. Batman comes in the last minute and 2Face is somehow killed. Some sources say that all of Gordon's family is killed, except for his son.

well, how big is his family? Probably "only" his wife dies???

^the gotham tonight episode called gordon a "father of 2"...that being james jr. and lil' bab's

Dent wouldn't go after Gordon unless he was indirectly responsible for the scaring. Therfore 'guilty' in his eyes.

Here is what I heard

Major Spoiler and I do mean Major.

Dent kidnaps Gordon's family in order to make Gordon suffer the same way he did after losing Rachel. Batman arrives just in time to save Gordon's son and sends Dent plummeting to his death.

If so what a big waste of a great villian which would have been great for Batman 3, IMO.

The general consensus right now is that

they pulled a Catwoman in BR and 2Face is only seemingly dead.

Yeah they did kind of the same thing in Batman Forever, when Two-Face falls to his "death" and the coin drops into his hand face up, then you see is suit in the next film at Arkum, it just feels like a coup out. I sense a theme when they want to bump off two face, drop him off the highest point in Gotham, lol.

Can someone set the fate of Two-Face for me? If you don't want to post it, can you PM please. I'm confused about whether....
He's actually dead or everyone thinks he's dead but he's really alive

i heard from someone who saw the movie he lives, he is just rendered unconcioud by bats, who takes the fall for dent's crimes, joker is hauled off by the po-pos, that is the last we see of them, no scene of joker sans makeup in arkham, no whereabous of dent, just fugitive bats rolling out into the night on the pod

Hmm....well, that is pretty much what I expected so I don't really know how people consider this to be "shocking".

However if...

Two-Face dies

I would understand the shock.

I can live with Two-Face dying at the end. But given the confusion over that potential plot point, it seems that we're no closer to knowing Two-Face's fate now than we were months ago. Despite people having seen the film.

Two-Face will be in the third one no matter what, even if he looks dead in TDK he'll come back, they won't waste a villain like that, it's too damn quick

No he has two sons. The one in Begins (who seems to be an infant or toddler in the film) and one that appears in The Dark Knight . (Nathan Gamble (10). You might know him as Billy Drayton, Thomas Jane's son in The Mist.)

Maybe so. Or maybe, just maybe, Nolan wanted to throw everything into this film and then call it a day.

i don't think Nolan is dumb enough to pull a Raimi for a cool villain like Two-Face
Well, to be fair, you don't need a whole lot of Two-Face. The best part of the character is the origin. After that story's told, he becomes considerably less interesting.

I imagine what we're getting here is something like THE LONG HALLOWEEN in terms of Two-Face activity, and that would effectively meet my desire for the cinematic future of the character.

i really hope that two face only seemingly dies but were hinted that hes still alive. am i the only one that wouldve liked the joker to die in this film? i might die myself for asking that question on these boards

does Two-Face show up in the middle of the film or just the end?
