The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two Face Thread

because he is scarred right in the middle. Gives him two different "half faces".

Ok, now you're just being anal.

Besides, I doubt he'll be called Two-Face in the movie anyway. Just like the Tumbler wasn't called the Batmobile. People will still call him Harvey.

but why should they call him "Two Face"?

He hasn't "two faces".

His name is Two-Face. Not Two-Equally-Sized-Halves-Right-Down-The-Middle-Face. He still has "two faces". One scarred, one unscarred.

And yes, I love the look. Really awesome, just how I imagined it looking.

love that it's not a straight line. makes it real

and Eckhart will do a amazing job as Two face

Also, the name derives from the metaphorical, more symbolic aspect of the character. Not just the scarred face. It represents his two physical/metaphorical faces: his evil face, and his compassionate face. It's kind of like Darth Vader. Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader are the same person, but Vader represents the evil side of Anakin, while Anakin represents the good side. Only Two Face is more fitting, because the guy is physically deformed to the point where he almost has two faces.

Looks cool. Sorta what I'd hoped for! Now I've "seen" it and know what it looks like, I don't think I need to see the real thing until the movie.

I'm sure the gangsters wouldn't use a simple name like that to describe him, cause his face isn't exactly scarred down the middle. May be they should call him 'Scarface'. Oh wait...that's been already been done...:whatever:

Nolan just read the comments on this page and has decided to rename him to Burny Boy

seriously....if this look doesn't work for some people....what more do you want? this looks like it's been virtually pulled out of the comics, with the exception of his face not being perfectly half and half (which is a good thing imo).

look really close on the left side of his face it does actually seem to have that curved lip like the classic two face, maybe just the teethe arent showing?

Exactly right

Bingo. And wasn't everyone complaining before, saying "They better not make the scarring a neat line right down the middle of his face, that would be lame!" You can't have it both ways.

i'm so glad hge doesnt have a scarring down the middle . That would of been stupid. It looks like his arm and hand were scarred as well. If thats the case then that's really cool . Nolan is going for a more realistic approach . Some people are expecting the look of the film to gear towards the burton and schumacher films . The hell with that Nolan is on the right page.

I will not have a problem with the design if it isn't exactly symmetrical. But it should look like he is really made up from a normal and an ugly face. And not just some big scarring anywhere on the face.

i really dig the look , my confidence is this film is at an all time high.

people really have to start taking these films for what they are instead of mixing them up with their own wet dreams...

I was mad because I was scrolling and someone didn't put it in spoiler tags. I'll live though

Frickin' perfect - I'm glad it's not the ridiculous straight line down the middle of his face. Look's outstanding.

Again, Nolan knocks it out of the park...
