The Dark Knight Harvey Dent/Two Face Thread

I'm not sure if this was brought up at all in this thread but in the new Two-Face video has anyone speculated as to the nature of that scene? Harvey walks behind the bar after the bartender leaves - leaving me to believe he paid him off to get to the man sitting AT the bar who may or may not have been part of Dent's half-demise. Again if this has been discussed I do apologize, just my reaction to seeing this video (first time tonight). Cheers.

I doubt the bartender is paid of by Two Face, and even if he is, it won't be explored in the film. Det. Wuertz (the cop) on the other hand, I think probably is the cop who supplies Rossi with the acid that leads to Dent's scarring. It would make sense to me, Two Face goes after those responsible. We already knows he goes after Maroni.

its an interesting thought, mos def but i think its just coincidence... however itd be neat if when 2face entered the bar tender left (cuz he was paid off) and part way through 2face talking to that cop-guy the bartender comes out and 2face kills him effectively DOUBLE crossing him...

I've actually wondered since seeing this clip if Wuertz has a Vernon Field type role. Someone on Dent's side that he trust but betrays him.

Is that what you're thinking?

Quote of the day, right here folks! Yeah, I'm glad that I'm going to be seeing this movie to, above all, enjoy it. Unlike some people, I'm not going to be taking a notebook with me to the film to jot down every perceived flaw I can find so that I can come back to SHH! to talk about what a horrible film it is. "He might be surprised, but he's not surprised enough. It would be better if his eyes were bugging out of his head. Horrible performance."

Thank you.

I think the bartender is vicky vale's husband, and he had an agreement with dent in order to obtain in interview of two-face for her.

It's obvious that a part on the scene is missing, the cop says : Do you want me to shake it for you?

It seems that he heard a commotion in the bathroom. I think Two-Face kill the barman offscreen.

the only downfall to seeing this clip of harvey dent is........when we finally see the DK we will see this part again in which the camera will turn and reveal his new look, and that is all we will see of two face untill the 3rd movie!

 lurk more. two face is in a good bit of the film before its over

well i gues what im trying to say is it would be a lot more anticipated if they didnt give anything away of the "two face" side of harvey dent, not even the back of his head, its would b e alot more exciting when seeing the movie, as nothing would have been leaked!

i highly doubt the scene released is the final scene. dont you think nolan would keep that under wrap until the movie. some of you are killing me.

Oldman: Right. Well, without going into the plot or going beat by beat, there's more, I guess, an emotional arc with this one and this big, big scene that I have in the finale with Two-Face. I'm better used in this one. (Laughs)

I hope the end is similer to The Long Halloween with Dent turning himself in after killing Maronie.

I did not know this, lol forget what i said, DK is gonna be great!

Yeah

WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY POST THE ENDING SCENE  :whatever:

Finally someone with some sense! I'm sick of people wondering if that's the end scene, it's just ridiculous to even think they would post that up before the movie is even released.

The Guard also said that Batman and Robin had better dialogue and puns than Batman Begins. So I wouldn't put much stock into what he says honestly.

You know what's worse than me saying anything remotely close to that? (Frankly, BATMAN & ROBIN DID have more interesting/relevant puns than BATMAN BEGINS did, for the most part, as the only puns BATMAN BEGINS featured were Scarecrow's godawful ones).

A poster that cannot do anything to debate me except resort to "The Guard also said that Batman and Robin had better dialogue and puns than Batman Begins. So I wouldn't put much stock into what he says honestly."

That's how children argue, Last Sunrise. "I don't agree with one thing they said, therefore every point must be invalid".

does anyone else think it would be good if there was a scene where harvey is actually argueing with himself over killing someone similer to gollum in lord of the rings? obviously not comedic but really dark and disturbing to show that he truly has two personalities and then finally saying "we'll flip a coin for it". i think that would be amazing if done correctly

I think it would be awesome

More. He barely reacts. Whether he's a grizzled veteran officer or not, his reaction to Dent isn't very impressive for a shot like that.
If you see an amputee or a burn victim do you try to hide your reaction?

To me its clearly a case of the cop trying to stay composed while being horrified beneath. I thought it was played pretty damn well.

I agree. I know when I see people with anytime of physical deformity I just try to act like I notice no difference. I doubt anyone with any decency would start flipping out haha.

I thought Dean played the scene very well. Actually the only thing that somewhat bothered me was Dent's "Hello."
