Harvey Dent/Two-Face Thread

I love the idea of Dent being a big part of the GCPD series. Logistically my only question is whether the DA being killed off in the film is to make way for Dent.

You’d have to take Dent and make him a District Attorney with good intentions and an accident happens (Bella Real is going down this path I think). Then Gil Colson, the corrupt a-hole replaces him and gets blown up by a bomb. D.A spot open again? Seems a bit much now that I think of it.

If they’re bringing Harvey into the DA spot in Part 2 you REALLY can’t go over the same steps TDK covered so well. You can prolong his transformation into Two-Face until a third but how do you handle him in the second movie?? Gil Colson kinda screws this up IMO. Unless there really is a plan to set a sequel a few years later with a ‘Rise & Fall of Dent’ montage/prologue. Or you kinda have to use Harvey in a few scenes, way more of a background character than Eckhart ever was...

I’m now of the opinion that a clear cut main villain is not Reeves’ recipe. I wouldn’t mind at all if all 3 movies were just Batman detective stories with several rogues having small parts in the overall plot but never focusing on one main guy. That goes for Riddler being more of an anti-hero in this, with not as much screen time as we think.

I seriously want to see Two-Face show up at some point. Loved the acid burn makeup that was done here.

Have only seen him in a couple of movies and I haven’t seen him do “explosive”.

Trevante?
Yeah. Good actor. But I don’t know about Two-Face. It’s basically two roles wrapped in one. And this time I think it needs to be a skilled actor who can deliver those two personality traits at the same time. Back and forth. Very hard to do without coming off as goofy. I think the dude from Lovecraft Country would nail it though.

I think he's one of the best actors right now honestly, he needs to be getting bigger roles.

Yeah Rhodes is awesome. He'd crush it.

I think Hartnett's big screen movie days are probably long behind him. He's a C-list actor, and doesn't have the range anyway.

Someone hasn't been paying attention to his recent work.

Y’all love the has-been burnouts huh? :funny: Time for new blood.

But what recent work?
