First Avenger has everyone forgotton that wolverine played a major part of the cap's history?

id also love to see them do a reboot of Blade(and keep Wesly Snipes) if the Green Lantern does good who knows maybe I,ll get to see my boy Nova on the big screen.

I agree. Without the mutants, you don't have two of the Avengers best members of all time, Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver. (Magneto's kids) Not to mention Beast.

To be honest, I always thought mutants fit in weird with the Marvel universe. Why are super heroes like the Fantastic Four and Avengers respected while mutants are persecuted? It never made much sense to me. Not to mention the race war stuff with the X-Men and Magneto. Whenever the Avengers meddled in X-Men business it always felt out of place. Plus, most of the time the X-Books try to keep the X-Men as the underdogs with the odds stacked against them so the books usually have to come up with some excuse for why the rest of the MU doesn't help them stop Magneto from nuking New York or whatever.

A lot of great things came from the crossovers between the X-Men and the rest of the MU but in general the concept is kind of weird. They do feel like very separate worlds even though they are in the same universe.

Even when I have debated the other way, as far as uniting all of Marvel's characters on the silver screen, people have told me the mutants are very secretive and keep a low key, and the large communities are largely based underground. And that's true. My whole idea is say whenever X-Men gets back to Marvel, could you realistically account for the X movies thus far in Marvel's present continuity. I am saying yes because from IM to IM3 I am thinking they will cover no more than a couple of years, and it's not they can or should explain every aspect of Marvel Universe just for the sake of combining the universes (even if they could) in such a short span of time. Just saying that, say Marvel doesn't want to reboot X-Men and feel they can vastly improve on X-3, or whatever Fox's last set of X-Men films are, I think there could be a seemless transition if it is done right, while accounting for aspects directly portrayed in previous X films at Fox. Now if Fox's X-4 keeps adding new elements that widen the scope of the universe, then it will be less and less believable that other Marvel superheroes co-exist with mutants.

Simple really. Two things. 1: The Avengers and the FF aren't the next evolutionary step in humanity, and therefore their replacements. And 2: The Avengers and the FF aren't as loved and respected as you think they are.

I wondered about this until I watched Conquest of the Planet of the Apes....in the movie its 1991 and the government was looking for the son of the ape astronauts...because one day he would lead the apes in revolution.....once I thought about it it made sense in the context of mutants and superheroes. Marvel people dont hate mutants because of Bigotry or Racism...as much as they have been shown to....they hate mutants because at some point in Mutants are going to take over....and its not 100 years down the line or 50 years. With mutants like Magneto that could be next year or next month or next week. At no point in time is the future of humanity threatened by the takeover of the FF or Avengers.

Well, Avengers Forever....but that was more of a threat to the rest of the universe than humanity.

im personally sick and tired of Mutant persecution. its just played out and rings false to me nowadays. i feel they need to be integrated into society. bigotry, racism, and genocide are so frowned upon these days that i just cant buy all that Die Mutie!! stuff anymore. not saying those things still dont exist.

However if we found out that in less than a year Homosexuals would enslave all mankind how enlightened would we be

Yeah, bigotry, racism, genocide, that stuff hasn't gone anywhere. Ever seen a Friends of humani..I mean, Tea Party rally?

yeah, those things are nuts. but i meant that stuff is way more undercover than it used to be. except genocide of course. ive ran into quite a few closet racists and gay haters lately that back in the day would be loud and proud about their bigotry. its still out there just more subtle. i have a buddy that had a good friend and had known him for years. they went to a bar one day and got drunk and the guy started spouting racist BS about blacks not knowing my buddies nephew and neice were mixed. needless to say that was the end of that friendship. and my boy was shocked, he had no idea. i think thats a pretty good example of modern day racism.

double postification

We might be past bigotry and racism in many instances, but if there were mutants with those kinds of abilities in reality, you bet everyone would start freaking out.

i actually think people would would be mostly ok with it. i can see Mutant reality shows, mutant porn, all that crap. theyd be friggin celebrities.

Supposedly in the (crappy) movie "Red Sonja" Arnold's character Conan, couldn't be called that but everyone knew he was Conan. So if they can do that, then maybe Marvel can have Hugh Jackman with the Wolverine hair in a cameo?

that not true..its the same directors and company and the same universe...he didnt want to play Conan...he did it as an obligaion

Huh? Never knew that. But the idea could still work. As long as they don't show claws or anything, it'd be cool & a good f*** you to Fox.

He wouldn't even need the Wolverine hair. He didn't really have it in the Wolverine film.

Wolverine matters as much to Cap as I do to Olivia Wilde's cooch. Which is to say, not at all.

If anything, Cap matters more to Wolverine.... Also, why is this thread even still open?

Because it hasn't reached 5,000 posts, and nothing horrible has happened to warrent closing it like somebody posting pictures of somebody banging a horse or tub girl. :o

to me if marvel does get mutants/spidey/etc.... licensed out guys. They will more then likely want to reboot them to fit them into the marvel studios film universe. Then using history of past films.

It was pure junk in the comics, so I'm certainly glad it won't be considered in the movie.
