Hawkeye & Mockingbird

McCann & Swierczynski Are "Widow Makers"

..I can't believe they're going to make us play the guessing game of "Who is Ronin?!"..again. Though I can't help but be really curious, unlike the first two times.

Haha, I don't give a s*** who Ronin is. I also won't bother picking up the crossover. I have no interest in Black Widow.

I pick up both series already. SO this is great! Really looking forward to this cross-over. I hope both books have a nice long run.

McCann and Swierczynski give more hints on Ronin:
"[The killer is] wearing a very familiar costume: the Ronin suit," McCann reveals. "As for who is inside of it taking out spies and heroes all over the world, the motives for that, and the person pulling the strings, you'll have to read it to find out!"

Though the duo wants to keep some surprises for the book itself, Swierczynski does offer a few details about this new Ronin's motives.

"I will give you one hint: If someone's taking out/neutralizing spies all over the place, it would stand to reason that someone, somewhere, wants the world temporarily blind and deaf," the writer teases. "But for what?"

"You'll learn a lot about the history of the Ronin and what makes it a legacy," McCann adds. "There's a secret behind the costume we will be exploring."
Before all this came out some were guessing around that DD might take up the Ronin guise (man I remember when people thought it was him the FIRST time :meanie:) after Shadowland - as he might need it. But considering this one is a "killer" I'm gonna guess a resurrected Bullseye. Could be a wild guess, but he and Clint do have some history. And interestingly enough this crossover starts right after Shadowland wraps up.

Can't wait. This is becoming one of my favorite series from the Avengers revamp.

I never really liked Hawkeye apart from the Avengers team dynamic. But i still consider his first run in the Avengers (16-109 ) to be his best depiction.

I love how McCann is using Hawkeye in this series. It's really more of a Mockingbird series, but Hawkeye is used to great effect as the angel on one of Bobbi's shoulders to Dominic Fortune's devil on her other shoulder.

Can't Wait!! :awesome:

It's a flat out shame that both Hawkeye & Mockingbird and Black Widow have already been cancelled.

It was inevitable. I'm looking forward to Widowmaker even though I never gave a hoot about Ronin. Maybe McCann will change that....

Are you serious!? Hawkeye and Mockingbird's been cancelled? :cmad: I switched my subscription to that after Moon Knight got cancelled.

I don't think there's been any official news that they're canceled. Widow Maker seems to be replacing them for a bit starting in December, but it's possible they could come back or a new series featuring the characters could appear afterward.

So they gonna merge the two for now I guess.... As if Black Widow is not getting less and less attention

I can't really say I'm sad about that. Black Widow never struck me as a particularly interesting character. Anyway, as long as Bucky is Cap, she'll be getting plenty of exposure in his comic.

Huh?

I thought BW is running around with Steve Rogers?

Oh yeah, so she's got Secret Avengers too. But she's still sleeping with Bucky, so she appears in Captain America pretty frequently.

Oh... I thought somewhere in the future one of the Avengers will be the son of Black Widow and Captain America. Or am I just making a fool of myself?

Oh, if you mean that kid from Next Avengers, that's just an alternate universe future. As of right now, Bucky and the Black Widow have no kids and no plans to have any, as far as I've seen.

Oh... well if its just an alternate reality thing then ok...

But if BW and Bucky have kids then WTF
