Yeah just awful promotions all around this past season, hopefuklly its kicked back up this coming season and further seasons. I mean this season has some awesome ****.

I'd love to see a set with a firey heart and stag slip cover or a Clegane sigil cover.

Yeah it's so bad that I don't really want to buy it. I love the 1st season blu-ray cover. I would much rather have a good character picture depending on who was the most prominent in that particular season.

Season 1 bluray cover is great IMO...

Using that for Season 2 with "The North Remembers" tagline was dumb. They were jumping on the ADWD hype because of the chapter where that comes from.

Yeah I've seen a few different ones I like, that being one of them but the Sean Bean & Iron Throne one being the best. Thing is if the S3 cover's going to be crap I don't know if I want to own it. How it looks is as important as the content as I could just buy them all digitally otherwise.


The season 2 with the crown isn't bad, nothing special but not bad either. I don't know whether to get that or get the season 1-2 combo you posted. Can lend out the discs for Season 1 then as I'm trying to convert all my famliy & close friends to GoT.

The season 1-3 combination I'm not really loving though even though I wanted something with a map at some stage. If they were going to do a map it might have been interesting to see it done in the style of the opening credits.

Why are you guys so upset about the cover art? Yeah, it's a bit lazy, but there are far worse covers out there. Anyway, most people will display it with just the spine showing so it won't even matter.

I think the only way you keep people happy, and by virtue of how the storytelling plays out, with the box art and promotional stuff is just give the houses their due. Although, the season 3 promo posters weren't all that good either. But, the season one dvd House sigil covers were pretty nice. Just lean into that stuff more, since everyone has their favorite house. That's probably the best way to do it.

I've been starting to think with the season 3 box cover and the season 3 finale (they did try to end on a more positive tone, I guess, trying not to leave the Red Wedding as the final event) I think they're assuming that Dany is everyones favorite? Or they want her to be? I'm not sure, but they do seem to put alot of stock in Dany, or perhaps assume her dragons makes her the MVP or something. Again, I'm not sure if that's the case but it kinda seems that way. I love Emilia Clarke, and I do like Dany, but she's definitely not my favorite.

Though, with the Starks decimated...I guess I'll have to find a new favorite house.
