Anyone know the reason the actor for Dario Neharis (sp?) has been replaced for this new season?

Thought the guy who played him in season 3 was good in the role.

Behind the scenes preview starts at 8:45! Don't miss it!

Word is, the original actor wanted more money. HBO said no.

Hhhmm, why would he want more money when he was just a bit-player though? Seems strange. If that is the case dont blame HBO for saying no.

i missed it ...son of a ***** ... saw the last 5 minutes

Just watched it. Amazing...two months is too long.

Man the shot of Drogon at the end...wow.

That dragon is ****ing huge! The guy on the ground looks like a mouse! Someone get a gif of that!

That dragon! I thought we wouldn't see a new shot of him when it didn't show up when Emilia Clarke was talking about them but they were just saving him for the end.

How big is it compared to Season 3?

Edit: will check that link.

Three or four times as large. There is a grown man on the ground that looks like a mouse in comparison.

:wow: Holy ****ing ****! **** me! **** you! **** him! **** everyone!

Bloody hell, just saw it. He's huuuge!!

To me Season 4/Storm of Swords other half is like a conclusion of the original War of the Five Kings, with season 5 starting the next big chapter regarding the Kingdoms of Westeros and who's left fightning the war.

I was asking about the size of the dragon but that's interesting all the same.:woot:

Essentially. ASOS def felt like the conclusion to the war. AFFC was the start of the aftermath of that war.

I am going to wait to see this in HD on my TV in a couple of hours, but man is it hard to wait.

Nope, got no illusions about Stan's fate. Just think you claiming something as definitive when there's other just as likely scenarios supported by the text is more than a trifle arrogant. But say you're correct for a moment, that still means that he's got a greater impact on the narrative than Jaime which by your own words would make him window dressing. My whole point is that you're dismissing a grand majority of the characters in ways that come off as very bias and close minded.
My point was, and I was clearly inelegant about it, is that when the show passes the books I expect major narrative to be pretty close in what happens, if not exact with all the details. The characters I named are the ones that are really going to matter in that regard imo.

AFFC is the "lets pause this story because we don't know where to go with it" book. :o

Apparently he is the new lead in the "Transporter" films. I guess he thinks that makes him a big deal. :funny:

I gotta disagree. It was the natural progression of war and realistically showed what happens after civil war.

The only part of the book I didn't like is Brienne's meandering quest. The rest especially that last third was top notch imo.

I expect it to be greatly condensed tho. As much as I love the book, it can be condensed a lot and get the message of the book across.

While I am not the biggest fan of ADWD, I feel it is far more the natural progression from ASOS. The pair of books didn't progress the story nearly enough on the whole, but at least with ADWD you finally get to pick up a lot of the major plot threads from ASOS. AFFC stalls the overall arc, and starts a few detours.
