Artist Recreates GoT into Classic Japanese Art

In the game of Game of Thrones fan art, you either win or you keep on drawing pictures of Jon Snow cuddling with his direwolf Ghost. Artist Seiji has clearly won with these phenomenal recreations of key GoT scenes and characters translated to feudal Japan, and rendered in that unique style.
I don't even want to sully this awesomeness with my words, so I'm including Seiji's titles captions for each piece and nothing else. Just make sure to visit his website here, either to see a bit more of his artwork, beg him to make more, or just to give him a congratulatory "Hodor!".

Jon Snow Duels Qhorin Halfhand as Wildlings Look On — "The wildlings are dressed like the Ainu, who are the indigenous people of northern Japan. The Ainu are thought to be the descendants of the first inhabitants of the islands, and throughout history they have lived independently in the cold far north, beyond the grasp of the Emperor."

Bran and Hodor Journey North — "Weirwood lore shares some interesting similarities to Shinto practices, so I drew a shimenawa (prayer rope) around the tree trunk."

I am half way through the first season. I have enjoyed the show throughout its run so far, but the first season really is something else in terms of story and pacing.

Yeah it's remarkable how much ground and story and characters the show covers per season. 10 hours, that's basically five films. Each season is five movies worth of plot and characters. Insane

It's going to be even crazier when the start doing other characters' chapters from A Dance with Dragons. Aside from the one, and possibly one other, that will make it into S4.

Me too! Watched the 1st 4 episodes of Season 1 last night. Yeah, a lot of material gets covered in that time and it's all quality stuff. Really loved these early episodes and the tighter focus on the Starks & Lannisters. Also burned nearly 2.5k calories on a cross trainer while watching..win win!

Haha, on rewatching I've liked Mark Addy's performance and the character of Robert Baratheon a lot more. Wasn't sure the 1st time.

He is a very very good Robert i just wish he would have been about a foot and a half taller.
