HBO's Game of Thrones - Part 15

Jesus Christ, it was gruesome seeing ****ing Karl drinking from Mormont's skull.

But of course, that detail was probably lost in the unbridled excitement brought about by DAT ENDING. :awesome:

So....do we retroactively get into trouble for having said....[blackout]NK[/blackout]'s name in threads of yesteryear? :hehe:

Or is it ok to say his name given that HBO have said as much?

That disturbed me almost as much as the last scene. But can we take a second to admire how much of an awesome actor Burn Gorman is? The guy played a cowardly sniveling lackey in The Dark Knight Rises, an awkward uber-nerd scientist in Pacific Rim, and here he's playing a despicable mutinous scumbag. That's some versatility right there.

Burn Gorman is also on AMC's Turn and is working with Del Toro again in Crimson Peak.

So, it looks like that guy from the trailer really was a White Walker with blue eyes.

I really want to finish the books now. It's very hard not to just read spoilers. At the moment, I'm 350 pages into ACoK and while the books are awesome, it kinda sucks because everything I'm reading I've already seen on the show. Although I didn't realise that Jojen and Meera were actually introduced in that book and not ASOS.

Hey people, looks like they changed the Viewers' Guide thing a bit with the White Walker stuff.

Hmmm maybe they decided not to let the cat out of the bag so soon? Eh, whatever. I think it was pretty obvious that he was the Night King anyway.

Are you guys on #TeamWhiteWalkers or #TeamDragons? I'm kinda on both. The dragons are kinda the favourite from an audience-perspective, because they're dragons and dragons are awesome :woot: but at this rate it feels like Daenerys is never going to get to Westeros. After Episode 4 I'm leaning a little more towards #TeamWhiteWalkers, but I think that threat might be made for the North to handle, whereas Dany and her dragons will be for the South. I think it will get a little convoluted if they both come at roughly the same time.

So, assuming R+L=J is true, how exactly is Jon going to sit on the Iron Throne? By my understanding, he becomes Lord Commander of the Night's Watch either at the end of this season or next one, so wouldn't his vows kinda render his entire claim obsolete? Maester Aemon had to turn down the Iron Throne, so wouldn't it be the same for Jon? Maybe there's something introduced later which would mean he could go be king and I haven't got there yet.

Last night's episode was so good. The white walker scene at the end was bloody epic. And I can't wait to see Jon and the Black kill Burn Gorman and the mutineers.

How was it obvious? I'm a bit slow here, sorry.

Well, they confirmed it at first, either through the Viewer Guide or an interview - it was posted here but I didn't click the link. Plus he was wearing a crown, and seemed to be in the position of the Night King. Everything just kinda hinted in that direction

Some ULTRA HQ pictures for episode 4x04 ''Oathkeeper''

The Night's King isn't a title for the king of the WWs though. It's the
"name" of a legendary figure who was the thirteenth Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.

White Walkers creep me out. So here is a question, is the girl from the first season a child white walker? or a wight?
Also the other one must be a true white walker

Also, you know what makes this show so amazing?

The expanded universe...its like Star Wars and Harry Potter. The fans and people love it and can immerse themselves into what may be happening in different parts of the country/world.

The little girl was a wight. Wights are people who are killed and brought back as essentially zombies by the white walkers. White Walkers can apparently only make more WW's by changing them as babies, and it seems they have to be men as well, but that isn't 100% confirmed.

For some reason when I saw the ending shot, this was the first thing that crossed my mind

I just want to know... with the amount of time that baby was left out in the cold, how did it not freeze to death long before the walker even reached that ice table thing? lol
