HBO's Game of Thrones - Part 15

I know we can't use the show to predict the books, but it looks like all the Arbor need do is stock up on dogs.

That was some awful writing and filler. Three men and a girl armed with axes and shields cant kill two dogs? BS.

The writers wrote themselves into a corner cause they couldnt kill Ramsay there so they had the dogs suddenly become insurmountable odds. What a crock of ****.

They would have have killed Ramsay before he ever got that key turned.

There were two things they accomplished with that scene: showing that Yara's a badass, and showing how broken Reek is. I think both could've been rolled into Moat Cailin. All you need to is have Reek and Yara meet while the flayed men clean out the rest of the ironborn. Then have Yara forced into a hasty retreat.

edit: Just so this works with Yara's decision at the end of season three, they could've had her run into Victarion en route to the Dreadfort, with him convincing her to help him reinforce the ironborn presence at Moat Cailin.

This would have been much better. D&D's filler really isnt up to snuff.

It's funny, because really, doesn't seem like they're getting into ADWD material as much as we all thought.

Not at all (I thought we'd be into the Sons of the Harpy by now).

Like Bran's stuff, everyone thought he'd be done with his ADWD stuff by seasons end, but they've gone out of their way to slow it down. I've heard they're potentially
expanding on the Wight battle near Bloodraven's tree
to be a major action scene in episode 10.

They've disappointed me a great deal this season in that regard. They are wasting time on pointless filler. Move this **** along.

When you think about it, aside from getting Needle back, Arya hasn't really progressed that much either..

With all this filler that you guys are mentioning (I don't see it till tomorrow) does that change your view on how many seasons total we could be getting?

Just in this Episode, pretty much the entire attack on the Dreadfort was filler and completely pointless in regards to Yara.

But I still think we're getting 8 seasons.

Late in posting, but I thought tonight's episode was a major improvement over the past few. Dinklage was dynamite in the trial, and Rheon was deliciously evil in the Reek related scenes (as always.)

Just give Dinklage all the awards, that was a great ending.

Peter Dinklage is legend! That ending!

I didn't get the point of Yara going to the Dreadfort either. Ramsay isn't the type to just let people get away, he would have captured them and flayed them.

ADWD spoilers below

Is Yara going to sail all the way around Westeros again back to Pyke for the Kingsmoot?

It would have made sense if Ramsay captured her, let her go, but she succeeded in escaping. She could have made her way to the Wall where she becomes a prisoner.

Right now, all I can see is that her ship gets seized by Stannis on his way to the Wall.

No. We are still getting eight seasons. The writers just want a number of events to happen concurrently which requires some stalling until episodes 9&10. Im not happy with it but so be it. The stories they are stalling can still be wrapped up quickly after episodes 9&10. So we should still have a number of ADWD plotlines done by the end of next season.
