I'm on the other boat: she looks fine as Dany, but is insanely gorgeous with her regular hair.

I also loved Tyrion staring Cersei down as he told her he wished he had been the one to kill Joffrey. Of course, she'd never believe that he didn't do it, but it's nice to really rub in how gleeful he was that her precious boy was dead.

And part of that line also damned Shae too, which was brilliant! So that single line was a sick burn on Joffrey, Cersei and Shae.

I'm late to watching this episode but goddamn, that ending joins one of my favorite moments in the entire show. Top three for sure. Just give Dinklage that Emmy now. The context is a bit different in the book, but I actually prefer this one. Here Tyrion's back is against the wall more
without the ace of his sleeve of already having a champion in Oberyn.
It's more angry, more impassioned, more him standing up to his entire family, especially his father. Incredibly well directed.

I got chills. I actually applauded at the end. Where's the Citizen Kane gif?

And with Shae's betrayal, it's more interesting here. She isn't as developed as in the books, but here it's more painful for Tyrion. It's really taking the whole way Tyrion has treated his ****es that comes back to bite him in the ass. In the book, Shae is just a ****e, here she's always been more than that. So it takes the book's meaning and elevates that idea to something a lot more powerful. Well done by the writing staff on that call.

Now I need clarification. Is Yara supposed to be Asha in the books? If so, that's pretty disappointing. I just got to her in AFFC and she's already my favorite female character next to Brienne.

Yara=Asha that is correct.

And I have to agree that I find Dany way hotter with the blonde look, and that is odd since I actually prefer brunette/dark hair usually

Same here, though she'd be better with red :hrt:

I've never been into redheads but I have seen some that are hot as all heck though. In general though I am not a fan of freckles

Producers found Asha and Osha too similar. And considering how the non-book reading audience can barely remember the names of half this show's cast anyway, they were probably right to avoid these kinds of conversations taking place every week...

Non-book reader: "Wait wait wait, who is this chick?"
Book reader: "Asha Greyjoy. She's Theon's sister."
Non-book reader: "Asha? Isn't she the wildling hanging with Bran and baby Stark?"
Book reader: "No, that's Osha."
Non-book reader:

True. Except Asha's a better name than Yara.

Yeah, can't say I don't like her with blonde hair. But yeah, definitely prefer her natural hair colour.

Yeah, it would have been even creepier for the casual viewer, what with Osha actually sleeping with Theon in Winterfell. :o

Some also have language which will either get you a warning or infracted.

Jesus spoiler that **** next time so we can choose to see it if we want.

There's that too. I stopped reading after I realized it went on and on and on...

What I really loved is that Tyrion publicly referred to Joffrey as a bastard in front of that massive audience. That's like... the Westeros equivalent of a friend of Tom Cruise saying he's gay on a daytime talk show.

There's a new episode tomorrow, right?

Yes. It's next Sunday they're skipping due to Memorial Day Weekend. Frankly, I think they got too worried. The ratings would be high regardless of whether or not there's a holiday.

Wait, the episode skip is next weekend? Ah, **** I told all my friends there was no new episode this week...

Yeah! That's another thing so awesome about that line. That one line that damned several people in one go. One of the reasons why Tyrion's outrage was brilliant in that scene.
