HBO's Game of Thrones - - Part 16

By this stage, she's acting like she's glad Joffrey got killed off because it's finally given her a good justification to stick it to Tyrion.

I do feel the show did a poor job setting that up. They never exactly had a healthy relationship, but they did have a few meaningful, sibling-like exchanges in the last season (like when they talked about what a monster Joffrey is). Plus Cersei is just unpleasant to everyone. But her utterly loathing Tyrion seems almost like a retcon (Oberyn talking about her wanting him dead as a baby).

I wonder if there are any Game of thrones fans that use sam's speech from two towers as a reason to keep watching the series.

was thinking how Pedro Pascal could make a pretty awesome James Bond.

Enjoy.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

The "swag rating", the Stark trade up, the friendzone scenes with Dany and Jorah reminding him of High School...there's alot of funny **** there.

And kinda encapsulates my frustration of being 0-and-3 with my favorites. :csad:

Reason #29 why I'm still not a fan of the new Mountain "actor", is that in no way did he sell that he was depicting one of the greatest warriors in the seven kingdoms. He just looked slow and uncoordinated out there, which isn't surprising seeing as he's a powerlifter and certainly had no sword play training prior, unlike the past 2 actors to play the mountain.

To be fair, that's not necessarily his fault. He is presumably being directed.

No i'm not blaming the actor himself, I just think he was miscast by whoever hired him. It just wasn't believable at all that he was a great warrior. He just seemed like a large lumbering guy more akin to Hodor really.

He is a great powerlifter really in real life but that probably doesn't translate greatly to depicting swordplay or much agility.

He was just hyped so much the whole series as this amazing warrior and I just didn't see it. It was still a good battle though mainly due to oberyn.

"Son of the Mountain" actually sounds like it should be the name of a character in the series.

Yes.

I've been waiting for something like this to pop up. This is also how George R.R. Martin kills off his characters as he writes the books.

"SMASH THE STARKS! KUNK! KUNK! KUNK!"

I thought the same. He fought like a lumbering buffoon.

I considered that to be a byproduct of just how much faster Oberyn was. That, and the ****ing human sized sword he held in one hand. The BTS video had the fight coordinator saying it wasn't possible to have him being fast with as heavy a sword as he had. I think it's really hard to showcase Oberyn's prowess at the same time as showcasing the Mountain's. The only real remedy I can think of would have been to show a straight up fight with the Mountain and another warrior or warriors that he would have owned.

I'm assuming that the fight was one sided (in favor of Oberyn) in the book as well. I don't think that covering all the bases in this one fight would have been possible. Unless some, even just a little bit, of CGI or just throwing a large budget at the fight scene.
