“True Detective’s” second season will premiere on June 21, HBO announced Thursday.


Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch star in Season 2, which will span eight episodes this summer.

Looks pretty darn good. I'm not sure any of the subsequent seasons will be able to top the first but with that said this new season still looks promising.

The most exciting thing for me is Vaughn. He's got the absolute potential in him to put forth a blow you away performance.

Wasn't this supposed to take place during the 70s? Only Farrell looks like he'd be from that time period.

I think you might be getting it mixed up with Fargo. That show's second season will be set in the 70s. This was always made to sound like it would be present day.

Anyway I loved this. Looks like a gritty LA neo noir which is fine by me. It still has DNA of the first season which is good but looks and feels like a completely different thing.
