I'm a bit worried they actually will have a hard time attracting big name talent for season 2. The show really is a commitment to work on and there is a lot of high expectations after season 1. I can see how some stars might not feel it would be worth it?

Honestly I feel like some people are aiming too high with their expected cast. As great as he is, Woody is not an A-Lister. Sure, McConaughey is a big star but he was also working on reviving his career when he signed on to this. While not impossible, I still think the Brad Pitt-level stars would still be very hard to get. This requires a long shoot. It's not like this is just a cable movie or something. I think they should go for someone with a lot of cred but have seemed to have disappeared from the scene lately.

That could be interesting. And yea, whatever he's done in his private life is irrelevant. Gibson is one of the best actors of the last 20-30 years, no doubt.

I think that maybe the way to go. Great actors who have maybe fallen on harder times or who aren't necessarily A-Listers.

I don't know Chastain's rep said that she's not doing it "officially". So there is a slim chance that she is still cast. Regardless I don't expect a casting announcement until June with the DVD.

I would be fine with Keaton and Goldblum. I like the old school aspect. Both guys are established actors. Goldblum could be a little shaky but with the right material and direction he could be perfect. Keaton is always terrific in anything he does.
