Are there are any roles where Matt doesnt sound southern?

Food for thought :hehe:

You do know who Doctor Strange is, right?

I had a long discussion (borderline spirited argument) with a friend about this and it's very easy to be skeptical about such a casting choice. If mcconaughey can get rid of his southern accent then he could pull it off.

I like Matt But I don't see him as daredevil he's actor but he's at his best when that southern draw of his is played up. Matt Murduck through and through is a New Yorker I'm not sure he could play that convincingly.

I think he could play that role very convincingly. Just watch The Lincoln Lawyer, he was fantastic in that film so he'd have no problem returning to play another lawyer and playing a New Yorker doesn't seem that difficult to me. By this point in his career, I'd just love to see him in a comic-book film because he's been on an absolute hot-streak and I whole-heartedly believe that he'd be able to carry that streak over for a comic-book film or series sometime soon. Maybe give him Ghost Rider if Daredevil doesn't suit him.

I think he's a great actor but people always fall into the trap of getting all ga ga over guys like this and want to shoe horn them into any possible comic role.

Sometimes less is more.

I've got your Season 2 right here...

One of the best aspects of this was the conspiracy. I must have missed something, what happened to that pastor in the big building? I really thought Rusty was trying to uncover the whole conspiracy rather than catch one guy. Was he really the center of it all?

Lol I think that's the first time I've seen someone refer to the character as "rusty".

I doubt he would enjoy being called that?

Rust realized that his part in this was over he did the good he could do and he felt his burden lifted off himself. Even though he realized there was a still a lot of people who had yet to pay.

It was my understanding that that Tuttle's father was the one at the center of it, with all his offspring.

I believe the Pastor died but I think ideally Rust wanted to get all of them but realistic he couldn't. It goes back to Marty's line in the finale: "We ain't gonna get em all. That ain't what kind of world it is, but we got ours." Rust makes his peace with that fact when he states that the light's winning even though there is still darkness.

i want there to be 5 seasons... each dealing with something to do with the tuttles/yellowking... and season 5 being Matthews return. :o

no. not really.

I would love the series to somehow end with Rust and Marty getting the call about Dora Lange.

I'd rather they not continue with anything. Leave some of it ambiguous, don't bleed it dry.

True Detective season 2: Brad Pitt being lined up to replace Matthew McConaughey?

"Brad has tight relations with HBO — he teamed up with Ryan Murphy last year to produce the HBO movie The Normal Heart. I know everyone would be thrilled to have him onboard."

Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey will not be back next season

Hmm I think he'd be great but the issue is whether he could accomodate this long of a shoot into his schedule?

How long before someone suggests Morgan Freeman....:o

That would be out of this world awesome indeed. Though I was kind of hoping for female detectives this time, I'm cool with Pitt as a new detective since he's just as great of an actor as Harrelson and McConaughey are. I'd still love to see Anne Hathaway play a detective though.
