Yeah, it'll take a lot to top season 1. I just can't see any character topping Rust.

We get the world we deserve Triple J. Maybe we don't deserve another Rust.

Love the new trailer. Yes, it looks totally different from S1, but honestly, I'd be disappointed if it didn't. S1 was pretty much perfect, and any attempt to replicate it would be foolish. This needs to be its own thing, and thankfully, it looks like it is.

I cannot wait. I might rewatch season 1 on blu ray(again) to get ready for this. I'm also trying not to hype myself up too much. Even if its just half as good as the first season, I'll be satisfied.

Even season 1's tagline was perfect:

"Touch darkness and darkness touches you back"

How the hell is it generic? I've never heard that use of a tagline in my life, much less used in film and television. With this show it takes on a different dimension.

The whole "We get the X we deserve" is a phrase that's relatively used. I've seen it used with "we get the politicians we deserve" before.

It's not a bad tagline, it probably just doesn't the vaguely occult tone of last season's taglines that gave them some punch.

That's ridiculous. And if one is being ultra picky like you are, one could make the argument that the season 1 tag line is just a variation of the famous Nietzche quote "And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you."

I think the idea that this season seems more gritty and rooted in the real world makes it just as compelling in its own way. The real world is just as horrible, if not more than any supernatural elements. And that tagline is more haunting because it's true depending on who you ask.
