This film is going to be HUGE! Heath was showing what kind of range he has as an actor. I gurantee you he would have been doing lots of big films to come. This sucks so bad, the man was gifted.

LOTS of people will be going to see this film for sure now. It is his final film, and he is going to go down as a legend after it.

First thing I thought of...

Brandon Lee was killed in a freak accident on set. If the initial reports of drugs are true, this is nothing like Brandon Lee, besides that he died and his last project is a comic book movie.

Dude, he wasn't gonna get nominated for an Oscar for the Joker.

I wouldn't be so quick to make that judgement. Since POTC, I think the Academy set a precedent that they'd honor a performance regardless of the film's genre. I don't want to make a positive out of his death, but I think now he may be more likely to get the nomination.

Another Hollywood drug story, who cares?

I guess we're going to be shocked, when this happens to Linsay Lohan and Britney Spears too, he's an idiot just like them?

It is gonna be weird seeing the movie now I think, knowing it is his last.

i pray to god this is one very very sick joke

This is some Brandon Lee Crow type stuff

I couldn't disagree more. Lee was a tragic accident. Ledger was an O.D. it seems. Lee was a victim. Ledger is the one victamizing people. Specifically his 2 year old daughter.

with whats happened, does anyone else think it may be a good idea to push the release back a month or two, rather than cause a lot of trouble

:hoboj: RIP :(

I know people will think this is kinda bad to make a post like this right now but...

How do people think Heath's death will affect the rest of the post-production/release of TDK?

P.S This isn't a 'rip heath thread' so save it for the community as the mods ahve said

That's 2 young actors in as many weeks with Renfro and now Ledger. It's really sad and it's obviously not an uncommon thing in Hollywood. Here's a recent interview of him that's now on youtube:

I'd be lying if I said a million different thoughts about what happens to the franchise didn't cross my mind with this news. But still, I'm going to hold off a couple days before I get into that.

Well TDK's overall gross just went up like at least $100 million.

They're gonna release the movie. The projected budget for the movie is $150 million, much of which has been already spent. There's no way the executives from WB are going to throw away that money. It's all about business.

Not sure how the viral marketing is going to continue, though.

****, that is a bolt out of the blue :( one wonders if his recent breakup had any bearing on this

The movie is going to reach iconic status for reasons beyond the story, acting, or anything else.

I know that they might not be mentioning it for awhile, but has there been any mention of TDK being his last film or did he/was he int he process of filming another after TDK wrapped?
