360, as you already know it has more better exclusive games than PS3.
Isn't that a matter of opinion?

As for exclusives they both seem to be pretty equal:

Xbox 360
Halo 3
Halo Wars
Gears of War
Gears of War 2
Alan Wake
Too Human
Ninja Gaiden II
Dead or Alive 4
Project Gotham Racing 3
Project Gotham Racing 4
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
Crackdown

Playstation 3
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
God of War 3
LittleBigPlanet
Warhawk
Gran Turismo 5
Resistance: Fall of Man
Resistance 2
inFamous

Now you'll probably end up saying Mass Effect, Beautiful Katamari, Ace Combat 6, and Dead Rising will probably end up having PS3 versions as well. Same with L.A. Noire, that will probably end up on the Xbox 360.

But my point is that for every Xbox 360 exclusive out there, someone will point out a PS3 exclusive. They're pretty much equal in terms of quality. Not only that but everyone's tastes are different. Not everyone likes Halo or God of War or Final Fantasy or Gears of War or whatever, so it's really up to the opinion of the gamer themselves.

Who cares if it has hard ware problems, if you actually have good games to play it's worth it. Plus most new 360 have probably fixed this.
If I bought a $350 - $450 piece of hardware I would demand that it would be reliable.

well anyway, thanks for the opinions.

i decided to go with the ps3 and just won a ps3 mgs4 bundle on ebay for only $465.

Thats a really great deal. Thats not much less than what i paid for mine and even if you get no other games, Metal Gear Solid 4 is well worth it being that youve played the others.

yeah, it was a deal i couldn't pass up.

really looking forward to mgs4; also thinking about picking up mlb 08 the show. supposedly that's the best baseball game on the market and it's a ps3 exclusive.

Yea i was thinking of possibly getting that as well being that i felt MLB 2K8 was worse than MLB 2K7. From what i played of MLB 08, i thought it was solid, but there were times when the game felt too arcadey for me.

I was anti-PS3 at first, but then I got one.

Why I prefer PS3:

1. It doesn't crash. I don't know a single 360 owner (and i know dozens) who hasn't had the red ring of death. I know someone who has had it twice (once during Halo season)! PS3 is more reliable.

2. The price has come down and $400 compared to 360's $300 is more competitive if you must have one.

3. Blu-ray. Duh. It won and will give the PS3 probably a 10 year life span.

I'd list MGS4, but I'm too tight on cash right now to be buying games, so I can't so so officially.

BUT

I have to really suggest WiiS3. Quite simply the Wii is an amazing little system that is my personal favorite of the three. Yeah, for games of the week to rent (or month, given how poor I am) the PS3 can get more use, but as in games worth owning and replaying while there are many on 360 and PS3, I find Wii has more. Plus if you like having people over it is a great social machine. But being an old Zelda, Mario and Smash Bros. junkie that may effect my recommendation, but there are as many great games on it as any of the others.

As a PS360 owner, i see great reasons to own both. Both have fantastic titles, altho i gotta give the edge to the PS3 due solely to MGS4. I mean imo, the 360 has a larger number of great exclusives, but none of em touch the quality of MGS4(this is the greatest game ever made tho, so its gonna be tough to beat). Reliability is a huge issue and i get that, but at the same time its not like MS is gonna leave ur ass in the cold. In regards to the Blu-Ray, i have to call that a wash, to a degree. The 360 doesn't have the blu-ray, but if your one of these individuals who usually justs rents films instead of purchasing them, then the 360 has your high def needs covered. If i plan on renting a movie, i go to the Marketplace before i look anywhere else and 9 times outta 10 they got me covered. Now there are certain films that i feel are must owns and the Blu-Ray takes care of that.
