You know, at first I thought that recent action figure had the wrong proportions, but now I'm noticing he really does just have short legs?

Not a criticism (obviously, he's perfect), just an observation.

I don't think he does really. I think they jusy effed with the proportions too much with the bvs suit. And they made the boots shorter compared to mos. He didnt have this problem in mos.
And they made the belt and waist part lower down on his body too.

Hmmm...I wonder if they lowered the belt to create the illusion of a longer torso (since in the film, most shots are above the waist) to make him appear taller.

I've been saying since MOS how awkward Henry's body is in the suit. No one believed me. Basically telling me that i'm being to harsh etc. I said Henry looks to short and his legs look way to big in comparison to the rest of his body. The proportions are off slightly. You can see it in the end of MOS when Superman says to Swanwick, "I grew up in Kansas General, I'm about as American as it gets". Another thing I noticed in many promo shots of Henry as Superman is how Henry's head is to big for the width of his body. You can see it in the BVS pic just posted on this page. He looks extremely narrow shouldered but he has this bulbous looking head that looks to big for that body. I took the pic and decided to shrink his head slightly and make the legs longer and all of a sudden, to me at least. He looks far better proportioned.

I haven't been able to unsee it since MOS mate ll. I mean facially no ne has ever looked as much like Superman to me as Henry Cavill and he is a class act type of guy all the way. I am proud to have him playing Superman, I just wish he was taller and less stubby looking. It's distracting for me when in all other incarnations of Superman that I've seen or read, he's always looked way taller than everyone else and more imposing. I would honestly estimate that Cavill is maybe barely 6 foot. Not the 6'1 he claims to be.

It’s the angle that he’s standing at that makes his shoulders appear narrow; right shoulder angled toward the foreground and left shoulder angled toward the background. The guy as very broad shoulders. Look at him in ANY other pic or behind the scene footage and his head doesn’t look to big at all. I’ve always thought Henry’s head is very proportional to his body.
