Damn that face looks like it was sculpted out of freaking marble

A useless scene that would've added nothing to the story and the movie is still crappy regardless, although it is nice to hear Zimmer's score.

It would have added more to Supes' return. Last scene we see of him is his reunion with Martha, and the next time he pops up is in the final battle with little to no fanfare. It's so obvious scenes with Clark in between have been cut, it's not even funny.

So that ship has a ton of spare suits. It needs to be turned into the Fortress somehow...

It is the fortress already. It just needs to be flown out into the Canadian arctic or somewhere else covered in snow

My exact reaction...

Truth be told, guys, the reason why they cut that scene is evident when you watch it. Its not for time reasons. The scene has a COMPLETELY different tone than the one Whedon was reconstructing. The visuals, the music, the look on Cavill's face, this is Zack's Superman from Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, not the new Whedon Superman. Whedon cut it for tonal reasons not time.

Definitely agreed. The tone shift is so unbelievably obvious.

The words "the new Whedon Superman" made me throw up in my mouth a little. But yes I agree.

Yeah. It actually felt grand and epic. It actually felt like I was watching a sequel to BvS. This is the purest Zack Snyder JL scene we saw, not just visually but musically too.

I realise how much I have used that gif recently. Its just so perfect for anything related to JL

It did nothing for me. It was nice hearing Zimmer.

Every single time I try to move from this movie, **** like this happens that pulls me back in. This is unhealthy lol

Joss did reshoots for this new scene too, guys.

Question, are we sure this deleted scene is gonna be available with the digital releaseor is this only on the blu ray? I checked Vudu and they dont have this listed in the bonus features.

Robles said he was told there is some Superman news coming from WB in the next week or two and it's not MOS 2 related. We'll see if any of that is true.

Let me guess, it will be an announcement about a show called "The Kents" that shows on how the two met and got married before they ever found a certain infant in the cornfield.:o

Well....damn. This hurts. I can't wait to see the rest of the scene.

Yup most of Snyder's superman scenes were cut from JL and that is the only redeeming thing about Whedon's JL. Too bad lip gate and other cheap CGI ruined what could've been a good superman portrayal.

Thought it fit so well with that scene in Man of Steel so I put it together.

The Kryptonian tech is so distinctive. You can tell so much passion and attention to detail went into it. I may not love Man of Steel but the world and tech Snyder envisioned is extremely impressive. Most directors kind of just throw **** together without bothering to really create a visual language or distinctive and intricate iconography. Case in point: Whedon didn't even bother to get Momoa tatted from the chest down. It would have been like an extra hour in the make-up chair at most. And you can actually see his abdomen without tattoos. His carelessness was on full display for the world to see, if only briefly. That and he got the pattern wrong for the tattoos he did bother to apply. Anyway my point is some directors really care and get involved and are passionate. Snyder is a prime example. I say this as someone who was disappointed by Man of Steel. Even though I have issues with the movie, I can still admire and appreciate the world building aspects because they're incredible.
