Justice League Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - - - - - - Part 15

Every iconic character will have baggage and nitpicks baldy and superman is the biggest icon of them all, but that doesn't mean that making an acclaimed superman movie is impossible.
Remember we the fans make up a very small proportion of the population who end up watching these movies and SR, MOS and BvS failed because the general population - who couldn't give a flying s*** about superman's curl or undies or any of those elements that we the fans hold dear - were either divided or out right distasteful of those movies because they simply didn't work for them.
Post 2000 we had 3 somber movies where superman is emo, mopey and allergic to dialogue so how about -for s**ts and giggles if for nothing else - try something alittle different, I don't know maybe a film where superman actually talks or maybe something like a dose of levity, you know crazy s**t like that.

Eh, I was more invested in Superman than I have been most other superhero leads. Even Nolan's Batman was the least interesting thing about those movies after BB. But whatever, we'll never see it again, so my loss I guess.

Just wait till he kills Zod, but this time with a smile and red panties. :sly:

Then it'll feel like 1980 all over again up in here...

And the ultimate, comical irony of it all is the one film that gave everyone the happy superman they wanted is the one that actually tanked at the BO.

Because after getting two subpar films with "mopey" Superman, audiences decided not to stick around.

I think for a lot of us it was a case of too little, too late.

Not only that, changing Superman's demeanor didn't fix the real problems with this franchise.

If the above are reactions to the Martha parallel gifs, then I think it's worth noting that such a thing happened twice in MOS. The first was Clark returning home excited about his heritage, and the second was when Clark checked on Martha following Zod's attack. They even had that sweet heart to heart at the end in the cemetery with a flashback to a happy childhood moment.

Just gonna leave this here.

Exactly.....I've been saying all this time that it's the person in charge of the DC budget is the one to blame with this whole fiasco.

TLJ and all of Marvel's movies has less budget but yet their FX looks more realistic.

Correct the reason JL flopped wasn't because the movie was a piece of s**t and wasn't even because 3 out of the 4 DCEU movies that preceded it were pieces of s**t, no the reason why JL flopped was because Snyder's uber emo superman decided to lighten up a little after coming back from the dead. IT. ALL. MAKES. SENSE NOW!!!

I've barely looked at this forum since JL was released, and it's good to see that literally nothing has changed. Chill out dude.

The pharmaceutical companies would have a field day if they decided to sponsor the hype forums. :sly:

Totally chilled but I gotta tone down the sarcasm.

You honestly expected these forums to become a happier place after JL turning out to be a major flop?

This forum hasn't been a happy place since the reviews to Man of Steel started trickling out. The MoS build up was amazing though. Will never forget those feelings of excitement and wonder.

MOS was the best time I ever had here. Everything was a clean slate so we'll probably never have that again with so many bridges being burned.

Part of the deleted scene is online and yeah...get ready to get pissed.
