Henry Cavill IS Clark Kent/Superman - Part 2

I meant average people, I dunno about you but I never see people walking around with their hair like that. Majority of people have the style Clark has in BvS.

I think the slick hair gives the character a "cooler" look and clark is supposed to be normal leaning into nerd territory

Agreed. I'll never understand some of the hair choices they've made with Superman on screen over the years. Not just Cavill, but Routh too. When he's flying about at Mach 5 or whatever, being thrown through buildings and engaging in fist fights with superpowered villains, his hair is slicked back and pretty rigidly fixed in place. And when he's sitting in the Daily Planet in Clark Kent guise with a shirt and tie on, the hair is pretty relaxed, very casual and less styled - and more prone to movement.

Surely it should be the other way round?

The style he had in Man From Uncle would certainly be an improvement on the BvS slicked back look and make it easier to work in a curl.

Yeah, this never made sense to me either. Obviously, if they REALLY wanted to go for realism, Superman's hair would be a windblown mess every time he hits the ground. However, when he's gelled and slicked back perfectly after he's just been flying around breaking the sound barrier, it's like they're not even taking logic into account. Unless of course he uses some type of superpowerful Kryptonian hair gel, lol.

Not a fan of Supes having slicked back hair. I usually associate that with duchebaggery for some reason.

As long as Superman has more dialogue in this movie, I don't care what his hair looks like.

Supes in the comics has often had wavy hair so I don't really know why they keep leaning towards slick/gelled look on screen.

It's another power - super hair control :D

I never understood why they didn't dye Routh's hair black. It's like they weren't even trying in some regard with that movie.

I have zero issues with Cavill's hair. I prefer MOS but it doesn't bother me at all because he's such an great Clark/Superman IMO.

Henry Cavill on the cover of Men's Fitness (September 2016).

Nice. I'd love to see him with an eagle, ala TDK Returns. :cwink:

I rewatched parts of mos and maaaan, Snyder gave Supes some real iconic/beautiful shots. I dont expect the haters to agree tho, but still:

Not really iconic, but so badass:

And this is why I say he'd be much better as cinematographer than a director. He's got an eye for visuals and is able to make you feel like you're watching comic book panels come to life. Less so with his direction.

i bought MoS 4K Blu-rey along with BvS 4K Blu-rey.
and i don't have 4K player nor 4K TV lol

I've been doing the same thing! Everyone keeps saying how colorful the suit looks in BvS compared to MoS but I'm starting to disagree. I like the colors on the MoS suit now more.
And I know I'm like the only person on this forum but I think I prefer the S shield without the Kryptonian script in the middle. I like the plain red S.

I agree completely which is why he shouldn't have been completely fired. They should have kept him on to help out with visuals but never let him direct a dc movie again.

I saw MOS playing on TV last night, only caught part of it, the prologue - since I'm a dad now, it gave me a new perspective watching that sequence.

Lara giving birth, baby Kal El crying, Lara telling Jor-El that her son will "die out there", "will be an outcast", "will be alone", "we will never see him walk, hear him say his name" and both of them saying good bye to the baby, man I am almost in tears just typing these.

Then Jor-El fighting Zod, to me it's more of "husband and father fighting to protect his wife and baby" and when Lara said to Zod "he's beyond your reach, you will never find him" my inner conscience was like like F*** ya while boiling with tears.

I didn't think MOS would be one of those films that are viewed better years down the line but now I do.:yay:

The ignorance.. Oh my god.

When Supes gets his power back on board the ship, and sits up from the table. One of my favourite little scenes.

I'll give this to Snyder, he brings visuals to the table. Other stuff..... needs work, but the visuals are good for the most part.
