I'm a simple man. Someone shares a good idea that would ultimately improve the film, (like the video we're talking about) I like it. If it doesn't, (like Stuckmann's) I don't.

Man oh man was Chris' script awful. "Tell that to Zod's snapped neck".
I remember he tried to right it off saying he did it in like 10 minutes at 3 in the morning...
That doesn't excuse that kind of writing!

I hadn't read it way back when, so I looked it up now.

For the record, I think the movie is very poorly written and the Martha moment is one of the worst in movie history.

But man, that was SO MUCH WORSE. Not even fan-fic bad, just... elementary school bad.

That was awful, I love how Supermans mother is in danger yet he has time to have a conversation with Batman :funny:

"Superman, in a rage, tackles Batman. And the fight ensues as depicted in the movie."

Lmao.

That was awful, I love how Supermans mother is in danger yet he has time to have a conversation with Batman

Not only that, but he's literally mocking Batman and actually chumming it up with him AT THE SAME TIME. "Bruce Wayne. I'm impressed.." He wrote that completely forgetting that Clark knew that Bruce was Batman during Lex's dinner party when his super hearing picked up Alfred's interference.

Actually, I would like for Stuckman to re-write the diner party scene as well. Not because I want to see him "better" it, but because awful is sometimes the best form of entertainment lol.

I tried to read it out of morbid curiosity....jesus....couldn't make it past the beginning of the second page...

Again; everyone with internet access believes they can do better than the professionals, and to each one of'em, I'd love to send a little message "...why don't you?? Go ahead, do it....go and show'em how it's done..."

And then see'em reply with a million "reasons" why everything is rigged against their genius making it.

All of that is fine and well. Fanfic is apart of the genre and actually has its place. But this dude made it a point to post this on his Twitter feed hoping that his work would garner praise and keep the hate of BvS alive when in all reality, it backfired. The irony is, he couldn't handle the criticism to the point where it bothered him and his family, yet, he's a film critic that takes great pleasure in doing just that...criticize. His channel made him a great deal of money I would think, so posting his version of the script trying to "fix" something probably wasn't the best of ideas knowing how savage the internet can be.

What happened when he posted his "version"? Did he get lambasted?

Thats the point really. There is nothing wrong with fanfic, and nothing wrong with sharing ideas. Its part of the fun. But thats not what he did. He tried to "better" it and did it so that people would praise him and spread more hate for the movie, and it totally backfired. And then he was like "the sad thing is I wrote it in 20mins". No bub, the sad thing is you thought you could jump in on the hate bandwagon and now you have to make silly excuses.

@midnightPhoenix, when he shared it, people started making fun of him because it was very cringeworthy on twitter, and he lost it. He had a breakdown of sorts, stopped making videos for a while, and did a whole video later on the subject. Tbf he said he received threats over it, and thats totally not okay though. The irony is people are okay with hating and criticising peoples work on the internet, and directors face what he faced 1000x more. He couldnt and he is a film critic.

Y'all ever watch that Cracked.com review? This man said it would've been better if Superman said "It's fine. Kill me. Both my parents are dead." because then Batman would be like "Oh okay...you get it then."

Dumbest damn thing I ever heard.

I like Cracked, but yeah, that's pretty stupid.

So reading the comments on Stuckmann's rewrite, I noticed somebody said that Tumbler made nonstop memes about it. I haven't stopped laughing at what resides there:

Lmao..I can't.

right underneath that twitter post.

Wow, just wow. Guess now Chris knows how Zack feels; funny how people say he wrote it like a Marvel film.

Oh snap... I feel bad for laughing but it's poetic justice that people who bashed BvS get their just deserts. Being an internet critic doesn't make u ready for Hollywood.

That second gif.

I'm laughing myself to death. Someone get the defibrillator. :lmao:

I love Cracked articles, but their position on BvS is the same lame bandwagon ******** as many others...

Beautiful.

Yeah I'm definitely gonna be avoiding a Cracked once JL comes out. They're not gonna shut up about it.

In an alternate timeline, we're all reading the Martha scene presented as somebody's bad fanfic and having the same chuckles. The best timeline.

Eh, Martha stuff is overblown. But that's been par for the course. I've no doubt people will find something else to latch onto when JL arrives. It's boring at this point though.
