Panabaker plays Caitlin Snow, a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.

She's currently filming the pilot and tweeted a photo of Flashpoint as "reading preparation". Oh and the last time we saw Danielle in a superhero-related project was Sky High. :woot:

Ah I remember her from Sky High. Seems like solid casting.

I wonder if we'll get Firestorm as well?

is she supposed to be a recurring character or is she just gonna be the one-off villain for the pilot?

Who knows... Maybe Felicity will appear on the Flash series for an episode or two and meet a single father who has a kid named Ronnie. :o

I wonder if they're replacing Captain Cold with Killer Frost.

I doubt it. There's no reason why you can't have two ice-based villains as long as you differentiate their characters (backgrounds, personalities, motivations, etc). The most likely explanation is that they don't want to use Captain Cold until later on. I'd have Killer Frost be a metahuman who's powers get built into her genetics while Captain Cold has no powers (he uses technology). I like Panabaker, and I'm curious to see how her character develops. I'm also interested to see, if she ultimately becomes Killer Frost, what she'll look like? That comic book look that geetard posted might be quite hard to pull off on a tv budget without it looking really bad/fake.

Perhaps Killer Frost will help create Captain Cold. Otherwise, there's no reason to have both.

there's no reason to have both.

They're two completely different characters with different motivations, personalities, abilities, and pretty much everything except "there is ice."

That's like saying Arrow shouldn't have included Merlyn because he uses a bow too. Except more ridiculous.

That's her N52 look. They can go with her Young Justice appearance for live-action.

She just needs to put on a blue wig and be painted all blue like JLaw's Mystique. :o

Not really. The difference is Merlyn is actually one of Green Arrows biggest enemies whereas Killer Frost isn't a Flash villian. She's Firestorm's villian.

Would you be okay with Mr. Freeze showing up in Flash before Captain Cold?

Yeah it does seem strange that they would use two cold based villains.. But Captain Cold is absolutely necessary for this show.

"Panabaker plays Caitlin Snow, a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs."

Maybe they will change the origins to make her fiance that supposedly was killed during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs Captain Cold and he somehow changes or infects Panabaker/Snow and turns her into Killer Frost....I could live with this happening.

I mean it would make sense, especially if they give this much exposition on her being a bioengineer and her fiance supposedly being killed by an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.

Danielle Panabaker is on this show? Mind blown.

I want to see Gorilla Grodd and a few others from Flash' rogues gallery.

Heck I like the name Citizen Cold better and wouldn't mind if they changed Capt. Cold's name to Citizen Cold but still kept him a bad guy. Maybe he is a citizen "prisoner" guinea pig of S.T.A.R. Labs and Cadmus and later escapes.

Yeah, I was thinking about this too. That the dead fiance turns out to be Leonard Snart or their interpretation of Captain Cold.

My speculation is also that Caitlin Snow might play a similar role to Tina McGee did in the 1990 Flash series.

I didn't think of that. Yeah I guess she could be like Tina McGee and maybe she is caught in the middle between her fiance who becomes Captain Cold and Barry.

Wow, I didnt even realize that as a potential story thread even though that was just connecting the dots between the two things I just said.

That would be a crazy relationship between Leonard Snart and Barry Allen if a love triangle was also involved.

Given this is a CW show, I think love triangles are a given. The ones I foresee are:

Caitlin Snow - Barry - Iris

Thawne - Iris - Barry

Captain Cold - Killer Frost - Flash ?????????

If it wasn't for this drama stuff, I don't think I'd get my fiance hooked on this show. Its funny when she yells out during the soap opera stuff in Arrow while I yell out during the nerdgasm moments. Also, it was the unresolved tension between McGee and Barry that convinced her to watch the 1990 series.

Yeah, good ol' CW combining soaps and comics...best of both world lol.

Yeah, the potential is there for multiple love triangles, drama, etc. Also, since the Flash can be in two places at once, but is never on time that will just add to the drama that will occur from his relationships with the opposite sex.

Glad you and your fiance can enjoy shows like these together. My girl and I tune in for Walking Dead every week...haven't got her hooked on Arrow yet, but at least she goes to all the Superhero movies with me.

The love triangles are the sole reason I stopped watching Arrow. I wanna give this show a chance but you just know theres going to be love triangles... ugh

HAHAHAHA. I misread this as the Flash can be in two places at once, therefore all love triangles are resolved.

Honestly, it was the Arrow workout scenes that first got her interested... The soapy stuff was what got her hooked.

Her sister Kay was the daughter in No Ordinary Family.

Superhero-ing must run in the family.
