There's an obvious predudice against smallville there because even though routh is out of the running the Mods haven't moved the thread and and are getting on to the people saying it should be moved
New poll on www.supermanhomepage.com (where you can only vote once ;0)
Right now, Tom is winning. It's who would you take if it was your choice, Tom or Brandon.
You also have to be a member, and in the past the members there were well known for being anti-welling. A more public (non-fan site), one time voting poll would be a nice poll to see.
So in closing... Welling didnt want to play Superman the High School years... He was not rejecting the idea of playing an established Superman
It's a bit better now. Some of the haters are now supporting Welling and you see more and more frequent posts demanding Tom for the Superman movie.

To C.Lee that's dumb unless your rich to buy and watch something so you can make fun of others....sigh
You can post that a thousand times here (and it probably has been), but there will STILL be people who claim that Tom has no interest in playing Superman.
Even with the latest interview from SDCC where he states clearly that "he's always been open to it" some people will still claim to know exactly what Tom feels about playing Superman.
It's a bit maddening, but as always, people tend to hear and read what they want to believe is true. The truth is, no one but Tom, and probably his wife knows exactly what he feels. And until someone actually makes him an offer, he may not even be sure himself. D'uh.

I just dont get why people are trying to decipher what he says instead of taking what he actually says at face value?![]()
Hahahaha. Right there with you.lol, my little heart can't take another Superman movie casting.

Well he clearly says in this interview that if he stays out of the tights he might stand a chance. go to the 6 min mark.

Still grasping at straws, I see. That was from 2005, when The Fog was coming out. Add 5 more years of playing Clark Kent to that, along with 5 more years of experience in the industry, and do you really think you know exactly how he'd feel about playing Superman on the big screen now? Again, hearing what you want to hear.
Tom's also been quoted in interviews talking about going to Ratner's house to discuss a Superman movie, and like I said, if you insist on relying solely on what's come out of his actual mouth - I refer you to the most recent comments from SDCC where he said he's always been open to it. But he also added, very honestly and SENSIBLY, that it's just not that simple of a thing to talk about or have happen.
These interviews are all PR, and in the case of that radio interview, more laughs than serious discussion.
I'd love to believe that Tom wants to play Supes on the big screen, but I think it's silly for anyone who assume they know what any of these actors really want. We'll know when we know.
