Hero to Villain

Damn, this thread has made me realize how many X-people have gone bad at one time or another!:( Cyke was mind controlled and was Eric the Red for a bit (and his later merger with Apocalypse). Colossus was mind controlled and became the Proletarian, he was also an Acolyte for a while. Angel was Death. Havok was a magistrate for a while and also formed that weird team he had with Dark Beast. Polaris was controlled by Malice and was part of the Marauders, has been an Acolyte, has been mentally unstable, was the Plague horseman. Jean was Dark Phoenix. Mirage was Moonstar. Wolverine....well, Wolverine has gone through so many ups and downs and through Origins we've learned that he hasn't been too much of a good guy while working for the govt. Psylocke was Lady Mandarin.

Actually, that would be cool. I wouldn't mind seeing Psylocke as Lady Mandarin again. I'd also like to see Spider Man as a villain, make him be possesed by the spider (or Other, or whatever it's called) and give NY a hard time. If he was capable of taking on whole teams during Secret Wars, it should be plausible for him to give people a hard time with his augmented powers.

I would argue that we are seeing Tony Stark become a straight forward villain. Mr. Fantastic would also be very dangerous as a bad guy, and so would sweet little Sue Storm who let us not forget is the strongest of the Fantastic Four.

I think she was for a bit, while possesed by Malice. I think it was during the Byrne era. I'm not sure if she was shown as being as powerful as she is now.

Willie Lumpkin in a story called "The Postman only rings DEATH!!"

Josh Foley aka Elixer has great potential as a villian

Mr. Fantastic WOULD make a good villain. I agree. He honestly would accomplish more than Vic.

Iron Man would make a great villain.

Same for the Hulk and Strange.

I wouldn't mind seeing Colossus being a villain once. Well since this is just for fun, ignoring they'd prob kill Colossus of if it ever happened, screw continuity, and so on lol.
He was for quiet some time:huh:

I'm sure one day the Sentry will go balistik and try to destroy everything. But I hope Marvel waits a few years before writing him doing that.

Didn't he become Dark devil in M2?
Because, he kicked ass.

Darkdevil wasn't a villan, nor was he DD. He was the son of a cloned Spiderman, mixed with Zarathos. Either way.

Reed would make an odd villan. He's not really the same cast as Doom, and most likely would just end up a Doom clone for the most part. Iron Man would do decent as a villan, but given the fact of his abilities as a hero, he'd be an overbearing villan on most individuals and teams. Though... Well... Maybe. I guess I could see him being a villan. Either way, moving on. Doctor Strange simply could NOT be a villan. I'd love to see every fricking extra dimensional problem just crushing the walls of reality around them simply because Strange stopped performing his duties.

Though, who do I think would make an AWESOME villan? Spider-Man. His life is ****, and really, he should've snapped LOOOOONG ago.

I'm not talking about mind control. Also as an Acolyte he wasn't really a villain per se. He didn't take on the X-Men multiple times or try to kill ppl, he was just more confused over his sisters death and joined Magneto, he wasn't really doing evil deeds.

I'm talking about a full blown evil colossus, not being controlled like a toy, but rather more brutal and choosing it.

Preach it, sistah!!!!!:mad::cmad:

Thats what I liked about spiderman though. No matter how s***y the world treaats him he always finds a way to push foward and do the right thing. To make him evil is complete character assassination.
If he ever becomes evil willingly, I will never read spiderman comics again. EVER!

X-Men villains rarely attempt to kill people. And Colossus did end up fighting the X-Men a few times while on the Acolytes.

Remember comics are "still for kids" and tend not to see Hitlers or Mansons all over the place.

Well it would be a great storyline if Captain America was following orders of a contemporary Republican-led USA govt. a la George W. Bush/Dick Cheney. It would be interesting if political parties had their own superhero sponsership. Captain America stands with Republicans (because Republicans weren't that bad during WW2 times). And then the rest of the Avengers, led by environmentalist Thor, could stand with the Democrats/independents/Green party. The way the rest of the world, besides USA, would perceive Captain America as the total opposite of Superman, so as long as he follows the orders of the USA govt., Captain America will be perceived as evil in the majority of the world. They could really do a good Captain America comic/movie in the following acts:
1. Captain America fights nazis during WW2 and is a respected world hero.
2. He's put on ice and woken up in current evil Republican/corporation times such as now. He still thinks America is great and he does whatever the Republican-led govt. tells him to do. (such as go kick ass in the middle east). But kicking ass nowadays does not get praised by the world, in fact it's evil what he is doing.
3. He fights for the American govt. while the rest of the Avengers try to persuade him from doing the right thing and stop being so patriotic and dedicated for the USA. The Avengers fight Captain America. They want him to think for himself and stop basing his actions on old patriotic ways.
4. Eventually, Captain America gets convinced, joins the Avengers, and they all stop evil Republicans, prevent corporation world domination, and prevent the world from getting out of hand which is basically the job of the Avengers - to look after the world and maintain balance. Captain America, along with Tony Stark (good corporation), Thor (environment), Dr. Banner/Hank Pym (science), are examples of superheroes that maintain a positive balance in the world.

So basically Captain America can be perceived as a villain during current times, but he eventually gets the respect he lost during WW2 times.
