High school teacher allegedly forces female student to lap dance for male students

Acting like this is no laughing matter, and should be treated with the utmost seriousness, but it's very easy for someone to claim another did them harm, especially when as soon as something like this is brought up, people automatically assume the plantiff is guilty and call for their head. There was a teacher in my high school who was fired because a girl who didn't like him and falsely claimed sexual harassment. Charges were eventually dropped, but that guy's reputation was totally trashed.

So, did they even bother to verify any of the claims? Like at least asking the other students if she really performed lap dances for them?

I'm skeptical, especially since this seems to be lacking proof, and the charges are pretty over the top, also kind of hard to prove/disprove, although I don't know anything about the parties involved. This does just seem like a series of allegations until proven otherwise though.

At least there is a classroom full of witnesses they could question

It's really scary that so many people are working from the assumption that she's lying. That's the reason so many abuse victims don't speak up, because they're afraid no one will believe them.

Present proof and people will stop working under that assumption. I mean, no one is saying it's impossible, just no one seems to be offering anything credible as of yet.

I think the main problem is that anyone assumes anything.

She could be lying, she could be telling the truth, but with a class room full of witnesses, you'd think we'd already know if at least the lap dance claims are true.

With the age we live in I would think there would be a facebook or twitter post about getting lap dances in school.

Comment 1 How quick we are to rush to judgment. This sounds too bizarre to be true. Teens are notorious for making accusations out of spite and to cause trouble. I hope the police had other evidence or it would be a travesty for the teacher.

Comment 2 If a female accuse a male of any type of sex act, especially if the female in a minor, the male will be arrested and probably convicted even if he was no where near when or where she claims it happen

I have to say, if this is true its horrifying, but I also agree with these comments....You can't deny that high school students can be extremely immature and not know the ramifications of their actions. Girls know if they cry wolf the teachers out of there in a heartbeat.

'Police said they had to kick his door down because he wouldn’t let them in without a warrant.'

So they broke into his home without a warrant?

Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. But maybe they did have one and he still refused.

Sure, it's entirely possible that this is untrue I've known teachers who've had students who lied about them because they had a grudge. But it's the fact that people are assuming she's lying instead of saying "well, this article is vague and we don't know for sure, I hope the investigation is thorough and we're sure we know what the truth is either way" that's really messed up.

But if they didn't have a warrant, doesn't that mean anything they found in his home is inadmissable as evidence?

But the police is saying that he didn't let them in without a warrant. Not him.

The article really is too strange. A classroom full of witnesses, yet no reports of any of the students coming forward to confirm anything? And the Police kicking down doors without a warrant? It's not even mentioned afterwards if they actually had one. Just that he wouldn't let them in without one.

Report first , ask questions later.

4 Billion people were busy watching porn websites and sex websites. :jedi

But the opposite is just as true. When a woman does lie about it, the accused man's reputation is irreparably damaged forever. Just ask Kobe Bryant or Ben Roethlisberger, both of which had rape charges dropped or dismissed.

Unfortunately, too many women do lie about things like this, and when a man's reputation is on the line, it's understandable to jump to the defense of someone who is unable to defend himself because of public perception.

So she wont give a lap dance but she will go to the creeps house and sleep with him? This sounds fishy as hell.

I don't understand the problem. Everyone complains that schools these days don't help kids develop job skills, and when one guy does something about it, all hell breaks loose!
