VG24/7 has a gameplay video on youtube. I can't post it due to it's language, but it looks great so just search it. Bumped my anticipation up another notch.

Yea I just watched it. AMAZING. I was never worried about IO delivering a true follow up Hitman title and that video just proved how right I was. DAMN! Is it November yet!?

Loved the vid. Looks like they've improved things like the aiming with a knife and the animation of dragging bodies etc. Also, was that a bullet time moment when he walked up to the mark and took him and the cops out in a gun fight? That could be interesting and actually make getting into gun fights a more viable option. Not that I really want to play Hitman for that, but from Silent Assassin onwards it seemed they wanted to give the more gung ho players an option but it never really felt like it was a smart idea and just ended up getting you killed.

Also, on a side note I had to laugh that it was a China Town level since I'd recently recalled how C47's Hong Kong levels were filled with Fu Manch stereotypes. This one looks more up to date (though I will miss the Blue Lotus disguises lol) and so does the general art style and graphics.

Though I couldn't help but feel that the crowd should have reacted to the 'staged accident' 47 used to take out the mark at the end of the vid. Something that makes that much noise should have more than a couple of policemen running to it, the crowd didn't even look around. Not a big gripe, but just a little something I noticed.

Yea I pretty much agree with all of that.

Great vid. It was a Pre-Beta build, so hopefully something like that will be remedied. I'll definitely have my on this one. The variety looks like it'll be incredibly fun.

Well contracts has some levels from C47, maybe that's why they didn't include it?

Yeah, I never played the very first Hitman, but apparently some of the levels were put in Contracts. And were done better as people say.

Also C47 was made only for the PC and the game mechanics differ GREATLY from the rest.

I loved in C47 how the mouse aimed your weapon while the keyboard controlled your movements, so you could move forward but still aim your gun to the side without actually having to point 47 in the direction you were shooting. Something you kinda lose with consoles IMO.

The one thing that pops in my mind that I'll know I miss when watching the walkthrough is Kyd's music, what he composed for the Hitman series is out of this world, it's dark and ominous. Fantastic to say the least.

Why don't you think you can replicate that with the two analog sticks?

Not saying they can't necessarily, but can you name a game that has? I can't think of one.

Yea im gonna have to agree with that man. Hopefully the new composer can do an ok job in replicating that great soundtrack

Yeah, it sucks that Jesper Kyd isn't returning. But I'm sure Peter Kyed and Peter Peter will do just fine. They did the score for Vahalla Rising (great film btw) and it was them who compose the awesome music (the guitar riff theme) featured in the Kane & Lynch: Dead Men trailers.

The game is so close to perfect. If only they kept the voice actors...

Couldn't agree more. I just hope the new people they have can do justice to the characters they're playing. I do have to say I'm quite impressed with Diana's new VA, but then again I'm biased to that actress as she appeared in LOST.

I know it's an early build but that AI was god awful. Also there was some clipping issues while 47 was hiding in the trash bin.

Looks pretty sweet otherwise, though: looks just like a Hitman game, which is a good thing. I'm not a fan of using the special vision thing to find your target, so hopefully there's an option to not use that. I liked back in the other games when you had to visually find the target you were looking for, not using x-ray vision.

Except for when you opened up your map and noticed that it gave you the location to EVERYONE in the level, including your targets.

But yes, you can turn off ALL indications and if you play on the highest difficulty level they're off by default.

Im also assuming the AI was poor because A) its a pre beta build and B) its on the show floor and random ******s will be behind the controller.

Has 47 talked yet? I am starting to wonder if there is a small chance Bateson might return.

Also not a fan of 47 trying to kill the person who saved his life or Diana "betraying" him, especially after Blood Money.

Yes, we've heard him say ONE line and it was not Bateson.

47 would kill anybody he needs to. Period. We dont know enough about the Diana situation to form any kind of opinion. Diana wasn't 47's friend, he'd kill her in an instant if there were reason to. Im super curious to find out what that would be. Im thinking he might of been set up. It was made to look like Diana betrayed him so he killed her, as she's lying there dying she divulges some info that sends 47 on a path to kill the people who did this. Maybe that explains why the bandage covers his barcode in some of the trailers? He obviously leaves the ICA.

I almost never used the map anyway, so meh.

Also, it's most likely the pre-beta build. The skill of the player doesn't matter whatsoever in this case: a bad player doesn't make the enemy AI go up a flight of stairs backwards and be like DERP.
