Hitman: Absolution

Since I don't have a gaming computer (it'd be a good investment no doubt but right now I'm not planning to get one) it would've been great if they include Codename: 47 so we could play the rest of the missions that weren't remade in Contracts.

Codename 47 was a PC only game. From what I hear it wasn't very good and a few of it's missions were also in Contracts.(apparently done much better) And Blood Money was on the 360 only(in regards to next gen consoles). So PS3 users won't be missing out here.

Ah, I wasn't aware Blood Money didn't make it to PS3. Makes more sense now.

IMO Codename 47 was just as viable as the other titles. The story was a bit more muddled but some of the missions were really solid. TBH it's been so long since I've played Contracts that I don't even really remember which missions they redid. I seem to remember they redid the Asylum mission, which was a bit of a crapshoot in C47.

Still would've been neat to get the actual origin of 47 in the HD collection but I guess they kinda tell it a bit in the other games via flashback missions. Meh.

I'm about to try Expert mode on Blood Money, but I haven't played Normal mode. And I was wondering if anyone knows if the achievements stack?

It's a long time since I've played it but from what I recall I don't think so, perhaps someone else can either confirm or correct me.

If your computer can start up, it can run "Codename: 47" with all details on high.

It's not a demanding game at all.

I'm not good with the specs and requirements but I'm using a Macbook Pro, doesn't that makes it tricky?

Haha yep. I looked the other day on Steam and C:47 isn't available for the Mac. None of the titles are.

Hitman: Absolution features asynchronous multiplayer 'Contracts' mode

Hitman: Absolution will feature an asynchronous multiplayer mode known as "Contracts," IO Interactive revealed at a Gamescom event. Players make their own scenarios, targeting any three characters on a given level with any weapons, and challenging other players to complete the contract in less time (and for more money).

For example, in the oft-seen library scene where Agent 47 is trying to get away from a group of cops, it is now possible to make an original kill scenario. Players take out a target, choosing a specific weapon. Then they can do that to two other characters, then escape the scenario – and upload that to the contracts server.

Developer IO Interactive says there will be weekly contracts. Earned money can be used to start scenarios with weapons and disguises. For example, if you know a specific costume helps you blend in a certain level, you'll be able to start the level wearing it to reduce time. The mode will be playable at Gamescom and IO will release a video detailing the new mode tomorrow.

I've never played a Hitman game but this one has definitely had my interest for quite some while.

You're going to be in for such a treat man. 47 is cool as hell(my all time fav character) and these games offer such variety to them.

The only game I ever finished was Blood Money. Probably because it had the most accessible gameplay out of all the games.

Yeah I still haven't picked up any of the previous Hitman games like I said I was going to...mainly because of the supposed Hitman Trilogy/Collection to be released in October. I don't know if it confirmed or not but I'm definitely glad I got a PS3 because of all these HD Collections/Trilogies being released for it.

I watched a friend of mine play Hitman 1 way back. Didn't really get into it then. I remembered playing the beginning of Hitman 2, but the controls felt so awkward, that I never continued it. Hitman 3, I remember a few Missions but I don't think I ever finished it. Don't know why. And Blood Money, I just loved.

I could feel they'll implement MP one way or another but I'm interested to know more.

Blood Money definitely had the best controls in the series but the story was good in Silent Assassin & Contracts, looking forward to revisiting them in the HD collection.

Blood Money still holds up, if you've never played Hitman before and can find a copy, I'd say nab it!

Hitman: Absolution's Contracts Mode Trailered

Square Enix has released a trailer for Hitman: Absolution’s newly-unveiled Contracts mode.
In Contracts you can create and share your own custom hit challenges, choosing a level, targets, weapons and setting the rules. The game will also ship with several pre-set contracts created by the designers at IO Interactive. Sounds pretty damn good to us.
There’s more in the trailer below. Hitman: Absolution is out on November 20th.

God this game looks so effing good. Im losing it waiting on this thing.

I liked a lot of the features shown in the latest trailer. I really can't wait for this game.

I like this approach to multiplayer. It's still just you, so it's still keeping with the essence of 47.

Can't wait.

Hitman Absolution’s Attack Of The Saints trailer aimed to provoke, but the unexpectedly outraged response was enough to first force game director Tore Blystad to apologise and now cause the game to be tweaked.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Blystad said: “The Saints trailer is based on a level within the game. One way to go about that level is to go in all guns blazing, but of course it’s not the smartest way.

Well I've never found that look hot with any thing roleplay wise. next to the nurse thing their both a must avoids. And I'm not sure how to take it with a game like ether. lol, so what ever.

I don't find it to be too bad. The nun outfits seem a bit pointless when you're going to all stand in the middle of the street and shoot a rocket at a buidling. Don't really need to be stealthy or blend in etc if you're going to do that!

it seems the changes are going to add more backstory to the "Saints", so im for those changes. Im ok adding changes that improves the story or gameplay or whatever, im not ok with them removing things because a bunch of *****es had their feelings hurt. Luckily, it seems this is the former.

Whether or not your intention was not to create controversy if you put female assassins in a latex nuns costumes you could guarantee there'll be some negative reaction from the feminist and religious group or what have you, surely IO should've seen that coming.

Anyway I wasn't personally offended but there's really no point of the trailer, it's loud and action-packed which goes against what's usual in the Hitman games and it feels like it's obviously catering to adolescent audience. It's not a bad idea to include some context, especially if it's needed in the first place. I don't know why I'm making a big fuss about this when I'm still looking forward to the game but that trailer was just terrible to me.
