How can the Hulk be fixed????

I cant believe marvel hasnt rethought their strategy of releasing two movies within a couple of months of each other.

The main problem with this movie was that it was a "sequel" to a dud and it was overwhelmed by Iron man, and Batman.

What I would do is simple...Hulk should be an absolute building destroying, rampaging BEAST in the Avengers film. The world will expect to see the movie revolve around Iron Man and Captain America. Make them leave the theaters going "WHOA! THE HULK WAS AWESOME!"

Then proceed from there.

You know in the old frankinstein movies,with Boris Karlof what was really intertaining was when the monster spoke.Because you were like okay what does he have to say about all this.You wind up feeling sad for him because it really wasn't his fault.If you see the movie at least the first one he really isn't evil.heck the villigers were more wicked than he was.That's what the Hulk needed.That and a more uber human look.

I go back and forth between man mixed with CGI and all out CGI. Hulk's proportions go beyond the regular man, so it'd be hard to pull off. And man in a suit can go really wrong, like The Thing.

I've pretty much given up on Hulk. I'd hyped myself up so much about TIH, I was confidently expecting it to be as great as TDK, and I was let down. It wasn't horrible.. but it wasn't anything close to what I expected.

Personally, I've always liked the rampaging monster vision of the Hulk. Not someone you root for like Superman, but something that when you see him tearing towards you at top speed, you're just like "OH ****!!! THE ******* HULK!!"

I thought The Incredible Hulk was leaps and bounds better from the 2003 Lee release. I wouldn't change a thing about the way the character was portrayed in this movie. He was dangerous, compassionate when need be, he was heroic (end battle with Bronsky).

This movie had it all. So why didn't it take in bigger numbers? Well, that's for another conversation. But I have several theories on that.

Bottom line: Don't change a thing, this is HULK the way he was meant to be seen on the big screen. Here's hoping Marvel gives us a sequel.

I mean think about it, it already cool that his eyes glow green, but what if at some point they actually turned RED! like this. Especially like on the Ron Garney Cover, They actually reversed Whites of his eyes to red, making the vains look like Lightning bolts! That would look so awesome.

To me- that's the only other improvement to be made in this franchise. Flesh out the Hulk's character now, we all know that Banner wants to be rid of the Hulk, now show that the Hulk is aware of Banner's desire and wants to be free of him. That's it.

Thats the key for me.

True. But remember, I was suggesting that the red eyes happen in moments of Extreme Rage. I mean only if we were to see the Hulk become downright Livid! That picture you posted is of Hulk just way too calm, which Does make him look more Terminator like. But I digress. Let's please just move on.

This is another reason why it's important for the Hulk to Talk! So that he can stress how he feels about Banner! It would be straight forward and clear to the audience how the Hulk wants to be Rid of weak, puny little Banner!

Even Frankinstein spoke.I agree it is stupid to watch a movie with the main character just walking around grunting and growling.Especailly with the fact that he is CGI.Talking will only help with his CGI credability.

I never said he didn't. I don't read the comics or watch the animated series (did watch the one where he faced off with Sasquatch).

Yep.

You might have had a point if this were the comic section of the forum. But we're talking about the movie incarnations. I'm basically a representative for the group who have watched the Hulk films only.

So now explain to me why I should supposedly give a rat's ass if he talks in the comics.

My point was that a more talking Hulk in the movies might be received better if the dialogue is handled properly. Plus, he can express his feelings more on things if he can talk more.

A mute Hulk can only show the emotions he has and the other characters just can guess at what he really thinks. In today's sophisticated movie goers world, they would not be fascinated by a mute angry dumb monster. They hate to guess his motives and his thoughts on Banner's friends and Banner - himself. They love quote one-liners still.

Well, let's suppose that Boris Karloff got his way and the Frankenstein monster reminds a lumbering mute misunderstood monster. Would The Bride of Frankenstein surpassed its predecessor as it stands today? No. It wouldn't. The monster could be demonized and be more ville because he was so misunderstood. There's a thin line between being sympathetic and misunderstood and being a viled monster when you cannot communicate. When you do, it is most clear and sometimes the gray area of being good and sympathetic is much larger to work with. Now, that's why the monster is intelligent now. So is the Hulk. Both monsters reverted back to the intelligence which they had when they were conceived and not dumb monsters.
