How can the Hulk be fixed????

Yeah well tell that to the box office or the inaccuracy of the story or the ridicules CGI or horrible acting or.....

The Incredible Hulk got good reviews and is doing very well in dvd sells because of those reviews and good word of mouth. the reason the box office wasn't spectacular was because of the marketing.

Nope.Your wrong.

I would have continued the storyline from the The Hulk in The Incredible Hulk.

I know that many people didn't like it. Maybe they thought it was too long. Maybe they didn't like the part about his father, the fight with the puppies, etc.

But here is what the movie established, that is true about Hulk:

- He changes when he gets really, really angry and he stays angry or gets even more angry, when you don't leave him alone.

- He has an unlimited supply of anger and power. He can smash tanks, jump miles, etc.

- It was an accident that he became Hulk.

- You wouldn't like him, when he's angry.

- At the end, he's a fugitive, a man with no home and no destination, not unlike the old comics - and the tv-series for that matter.

I think that they could have taken Hulk in the direction they wanted from that without having to do anything extraordinary to demonstratively distance themselves from The Hulk.

And I do not like the changes made in The Incredible Hulk.

Because:

- Anger is no longer the trigger. Get him aroused by a beautiful woman and you got the same problem. That's crazy. It was always about the anger in the old days.

- He gets so tired after the transformation. I understand that he doesn't really want to fight, but if his heartrate is supposed to approach 200 bpm and he is supposed to have supernatural strength, I don't want to see a tired, old beast that needs to nap only seconds after his tranformation.

- I also didn't like that he was now part of the military experiments and not just a good-hearted scientist - and that General Ross no longer just saw him as a threat that had to be destroyed but also saw him as some sort of solution to his experiments. I thought that Ang Lee's General Ross was much more true to the original character.

- You would't like him when he's aroused or when has to catch a bus. Come on...!

I agree. With one exeption.I never saw him as just transforming purely from anger.

I don't mean that I agree with the excitement factor.

I always felt like it depended on what type of excitement.

If he is enjoying himself then no.

But if he was fearful, anxious or angry.Leaning more towards negative feeling that would result in the transformation as a defense mechanism.

Especially for someone like Bruce. He is a mild person who resist violence he is not always going to be angry but he could transform out of fear as well.

I think just anger doesn't work.

Agravation, frustration, and fear are all negatives.Should participate to the transformation.

I agree that fear, stress and other feelings like that could be a trigger as well. Because these are all human emotions that may cause a person to snap. They can turn into anger. Like you said, it's a defense mechanism.

To me Hulk is the result of Bruce Banner that has snapped. He's been pushed over the edge. Now he'll push back.

It's the other emotions that doesn't work. I am utterly surprised that they didn't think this through. If excitement can trigger Hulk, then what kind of Hulk would we get if excitement did trigger Hulk? A happy or even horny Hulk? No way...

In short terms. I think we agree. :cwink:

Yep we totally agree.

For me to be happy with a sequel, Marvel has to hire ILM.

Wow, so forget about the story and which actors are attached; these must be less important. Besides, I thought R&H did a great job for the time they had. There were some incredible CG shots.
