How do you want ''Final Crisis'' to affect the DC universe?

Only if they bring Batman back :), as he is the only DC hero I like
But I'm sure if they kill him off they'll bring him back in an issue or 4

I heard, in Final Crisis, that Batman dies. And then, an bit later, 4 new 'Batmen' come in. One is an android called Batbot. Then there is the hip, edgy 'Batboy'. He has an earring on his cowl's bat-ears! One of the other guys is a man who idolized Batman and constructs a costume to emulate his hero. The last guy is called 'The Last son of Batman.' He's Batman's son. It's so original! It's gonna be awesome.

I have an inside source at DC. I know a guy who knows a guy who knew a chick that knows a guy that once took a s#it in the same toilet as Dan Didio.

Awesome. Hopefully someone else can take over as EiC before they find him and we can get a new creative direction for the DCU that's actually creative, rather than rehashing Silver Age bull****.

That, or they'll bring over Joey Q and ....wait, I just puked in my mouth a little bit.

I just hope the DCU will be back to normal, and get out of this "Big Event" nonsense.

Maybe they can advertise a "Big Non-Event" where the characters just do what they normally would. They could even have a 5th week non-event.

Batman dies halfway through Final Crisis but not in the main series, and not in any of the Batman series but in a Catwoman book! At the hands of Mary Marvel (haven't you been reading Countdown!?). And then there will be a five part Death of Batman special as well as a hunt for Mary Marvel stretched across Batman and Detective Comics that takes a year. Or am I thinking of something else? Oh yeah, Bruce Wayne dies but "Batman" still lives.

In any case, I think Final Crisis will be good, I don't think they will kill Batman, but I'll be looking at it the whole event a bit more skeptically because I'm feeling they are going to try and make a continuity event happen every year or two. That's not a long time in comics considering a "catch the bad guy" arc can take six months. I really believe that DC will try and run another weekely book.

I've never actually seen the show. Your avatar has convinced me to secure the DVD with haste.

Actually, I haven't. From the reviews, I'm pretty happy about that.

Also, if any of this happens, I will not hesitate to choke myself to death.

I want them to kill off Nightwing. Just, end his miserable life once and for all.

You realize that if they do, they'll just replace him with the Nightwing of 45.25 who is 10 times more emo than Dick, and hates Batman because a) Bruce Wayne didn't stop his counterpart from dying, and b) Bruce is really his father.

They should probably at least try to do something interesting with Dick, then.

Man, that's a fun statement taken out of context. I'm sure Starfire could find something interesting to do with Dick. I'd like to see Nightwing in JLA, instead of Red Arrow. Show how good of a leader he can be, and put him back on good terms with Bruce. The whole estranged relation ship thing has been done to death with those two.

I don't think there's much room for him on the JLA with Batman right there. He'll always have the stigma of "Batman Jr." I think he's going to be on the Titans East team whenever that launches, along with the other original Titans and New Teen Titans who aren't doing anything else at the moment. Winick's writing that, however, so I won't be reading it.

Seriously...

I'd like to see the death of a major character, without some horrible "return" story-line a month after his or her death.

"Rebirth" comes to mind. However, I do not want years to go by without Batman, Superman, WonderWoman, Green Lantern (Hal), Martian Manhunter, etc. But a really dramatic death story, that truly "shakes up" the DCU, and an even cooler "return" story-line, without a mullet.

Brock F#ckin' Samson.

I believe he is referring to the post-return Super-Mullet.
